Makes swimming lengths more bearable
I've been using SYRYN 8GB Waterproof MP3 Player + Swimbuds Flip Headphones and have pleased with it. It works exactly how I thought it would and having music to listen to whilst swimming lengths helps with the boredom. The clip to fasten it onto goggles is great and the earphones that came with it have worked fine underwater. I am using the tree style buds and although I might occasionally have water enter on ear and stop the sound it happens very rarely and probably more due to how well I've put them in. It's easily fixed though, just take it out give it a gentle shake and then pop it back in.The only two improvements I would have liked, which are minor are:1. Some kind of a warning when power is getting low, perhaps a quick message power at 20% then another at 10%, as I ran out of power once whilst swimming.2. Some kind of indicator on the earphones to mark which is right and left ear. I've put my own by using a black marker on my right ear piece to help me quickly identify which ear to pop it in. I don't think the ear pieces are universal as the slope of the outside that you push on to put it in place seems to be sloped in such a way that they only really seem to push in properly in one ear.Other than that happy with how the product is performing.

Really good buy
This is seriously amazing I really didn't think it was going to work this well considering it was so much cheaper than its competitors and it came with so much stuff! I could hear the music all the time even under water. I used the cap and it worked well keeping the headphones, on they didn't fall out, even when I swam laps underwater. I've never used a cap before, I felt a little silly at first but afterwards I loved how my hair felt! I think I will always use it from now on as the whole set up with the cap worked well I don't know if the headphones would stay in my ears without it but I don't care because the sound and comfort was amazing with the cap. Also the goggles are the best ones I've ever owned I had some black speedo ones before that always hurt my face and steamed up. These were crystal clear and comfortable. The goo stuff that seals the water out on the earbuds also worked better than I expected I just squeezed a tiny dot on and spread it around and it worked! I haven't used the hair protection stuff yet as I've got my own which does the same but I would recommend that type of product, it's a lovely addition for when I run out of my own. I can't comment on battery life really as I've only used it once but it lasted my whole swim which was about 1hr 30 mins and it's still not run out. A lot of my music files were mpeg 4 and they need to be MP3 so if you can't hear your music that's why. There's online websites that will convert them for free. Overall definitely 5 stars. I'm so glad I won't be bored swimming ever again!!

No issues - Good customer service
Purchased in November after a previous different brand waterproof player finally gave up. I agree the software is a little temperamental but everything else has been spot on.Recently one side of the earphones had stopped and was a little dubious about the recent reviews around warranty and customer service. I can say I have seen completely the opposite. My email was initially responded to automatically, but as soon as the time difference was accounted for I received a second email, apologising and offering replacement to be shipped. After I had returned the email wih my shipping details anothr email stated this had been passed on to the shipping department and less than 24 hours later I have a confirmation of despatch. In my opinion they couldn't really have done much more, the company have taken me by my word and have not asked for the old pair back to check, which I am more than willing to do.

Best of an average bunch?
Firstly - I've rated this 5 stars because it does exactly what it says on the box. It's a waterproof MP3 player suitable for using while swimming. When I was looking to purchase something to make doing laps more tolerable, I looked at most of the options available through Amazon and wasn't impressed by most of the offerings. I ended up going for this one because it seemed to have the least dubious/fake reviews, and I hoped that by spending a bit more I wouldn't get something completely useless. Bearing this in mind, I'm satisfied. The sound quality is fine, and it's easy to operate - the buttons are multipurpose when you press and hold e.g. for volume control. In the pool, I was at first a bit concerned that one side sounded muffled, but it turned out I had a bit of water in the rubber part of the earbud - giving it a flick resolved the issue. There's an extension cord to make the earphones longer, but I found I was fine clipping the MP3 player to my swimming costume without this. The earbuds stayed in well for me (I use the smallest size). Getting music onto the player was straightforward, and I liked that there was a .pdf of the instruction manual. As this contains information about doing a system reset etc it's good to have that available electronically when the paper copy has inevitably wandered off.The only downside is that there's no mechanism to scroll through a track, so if you are intending to use this to listen to unabridged audiobooks or similar it could be challenging. However, for breaking up the monotony with music/podcasts I think this is great!
