Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I did not need a locking function, so this was a simple and effective solution. I like the elasticity that gives a little leeway and vibration control. The latches are holding against some gas struts with less than 10lbs of residual force. In my application, it reduces the potential for rattles (no metal-to-metal contact point) and the need for adjustments that a ridge latch would introduce. They are also quick to engaged with one hand. These wil not be exposed to UV so they should hold up for a while. At this price point, replacement in a few years and I still would not be disappointed.

Good quality, I like that its stainless steel. Time will tell how the rubber hokds up in the Florida sun.
