I started a biotech company and wanted a cost-effective label maker, especially for microfuge tubes and cryovials which get stored at -80 and LN2. I used to use Zebra and Brady printers and hated them, but they worked and unfortunately many hundreds of dollars. This was $100, very easy to use with the app, and portable! So much better than trying to align my laser printer with the cryobabies too. I’ve had this for 4 months now and my tiny startup loves it.

This thing is amazing! not only does it let you custom design labels, it stores them and allows re-edits later. Great resolution, super easy to figure out the app, a total WIN!

Does what it should - makes labels. its heat transfer which is nice and has a multitude of label types. This one has a wrap around label that I use on cables for networking, but I had to order them from niimbot directly - couldn't find them on amazon. the labels seem to stick well. probably not as good as the dedicated cable labelers, but since i'm only running a home lab and not a data center, spending hundreds on a dedicated cable labeler was not reasonable. the price for both the labeler and labels fit within my budget, and gives me something that works without investing in a product that would probably be overkill anyway.
