David knows his stuff and is a wonderful teacher as well.

I've read the first few chapters and this is the book with walk through lessons beginners need. If you have Logic Pro 12 make sure you email the author and get the addendums, it's only 5-6 pages. He also has a forum board where you can ask all your questions and get responses. You’ll have to google it because it doesn’t allow me to put the address in.

Loved the walkthrough and enjoyed the whole process. I was familiar with recording, but needed help with shortcuts. Amazing refresher on some basic principles.

I had the author's previous Logic book and this one is a great update on learning Logic Pro 11! Not perfect as it glossed over some of the features and would help to hand hold the beginner a little bit more to find certain features like some of the editors and so forth. Overall a great primer to get started using the newest version of Logic.

I am a casual Logic user, but had already experimented with the Session instruments in Logic 11. This book is fairly thorough, and its examples do a great job of walking through the Session instruments. I also found it very readable in covering more basic Logic functionality, where other books (and articles) I had read, were not as clear.

Great book

David Nahmini's Apple Certified Training Series on Logic Pro for me sets the standard for lesson-based learning. My previous history with Logic Pro and David's book dates back to Logic Pro 8 but I'd let my skills lapse until recently when a new musical project has seen me record band rehearsals and want to quickly turn around mixes for the players to learn from, so a for refresh was in order. Logic Pro 11 brought a number of significant enhancements to the application, including stem splitting, advanced session players, AI-based ChromaGlow and Mastering, taking advantage of Apples M-based silicon. I wanted to be given a solid foundation of the core aspects of music production as well as knowledge on how effectively take advantage of the powerful functions in Logic Pro 11. David Nahmini's book exceeded these expectations. The lessons are structured incrementally with core activities, eg zoom, repeated across chapters to provide a familiarity with the processes will providing a basis to build further knowledge and skills. The new functions of the Logic Pro are well explained within the context of the lessons. The downloadable content is well selected to suit the lessons. Since completing the Lessons I'm now using the book as an ongoing resource as I'm working with Logic Pro. The only glitch with the Book is that Apple changed a couple of things between Logic 11, on which the book is based, and Logic 11.1 and further updates. These are minor and the Author has published errata on the excellent Logicprohelp website, where he is also an active contributor, which I appreciate. Overall I highly recommend the Book for Logic Pro 11+.

The book is a good reference book for Logic. The only issue I have is that it is almost impossible to get to the project files on the website provided. I can work around not getting the chapter projects, but I must say I am not happy with this issue. I have the latest MacBook Air, so it is not a software issue, and I am open to any suggestions to open the projects.

I really like this book and in my opinion it’s for professionals and beginners. A must have book
