Excellent value package
While there are free, open-source alternatives to Office I have always found them lacking - lacking features, lacking polish, often quirky and un-intuitive to use. I will be the first to admit that I wasn't terribly happy some years ago when Office transitioned to a subscription-based payment model and at the time I bought the standalone office package for the Mac that was available at the time.Things have come a long way however and I think it's very likely that the pandemic and the push to working from home has been a driving force here. When I first considered the subscription model some years ago you were looking at a £9.99 monthly fee for a single user.At its current pricing I've now gotten a 6-User family licence, for 15 months, each family user can install the applications on multiple devices, e.g. desktop, laptop, tablet and phone PLUS a 15 month Norton Antivirus family subscription... for the princely sum of £48.99. Considering all six family licences will actually be used this represents phenomenal value for money at the current time. There's not a great deal that needs to be said about Office itself. The core apps of Word, Excel & Powerpoint are the pinnacle of their respective genres. Extremely powerful, yet simple to use. If there's something you're struggling to do the built in help system is excellent and support via internet forums, youtube videos or even dedicated courses is widespread and often of very high quality. It's also worth mentioning that this package also includes 1 TB of Onedrive space - and I believe that's per-user AND it includes the excellent full Outlook email application which for me, has been a pleasure to use as I have to manage 8 email accounts (I maintain different accounts for personal, professional, gaming, household use as well as need to manage elderly relatives' accounts for them). You also get to use the excellent OneNote application - I sort of think of this as a "multimedia scrap-book" application, where you can maintain a notebook and create different sections and subsections then on each page you can embed various media - text, lists, sound clips, videos, pictures, links, etc etc etc. It's surprisingly handy and frankly is something I wouldn't want to be without since I discovered it some years ago.

Great deal, easy to set up.
I usually find a MS 365 deal somewhere for approx 15 months and have been using the personal account for the last 8 years. So far, this is the best deal I have come across. For the family deal alone it is well worth but, but including one of 3 choices of virus and malware protection across multiple devices is amazing for the deal.Reading other reviews, I waited until my current subscription ran out. Purchased this and activated it on the same day, and everything was instantly active on my Microsoft account. I shared access with family easily and have upgraded their cloud storage instantly.I researched the better choice from the virus protection software and opted for Norton 360, so far this has been brilliant. Easy to use and set up across all my devices. It asks for card details when setting up to activate subscription renewal, however as soon as your in the account you can deactivate this without it affecting your member ship for the full term.Overall brilliant deal, well worth the money (£72 when I purchased) and the Perk of having Norton 360 a great free add on making the whole package for 15 months a bargain.

Fair value for Microsoft packages with AI, could be lower especially for home users
The dual package for 15 months instead of the usual 12 months in my view is fair value however the cost of the Microsoft packages is getting too high especially with AI. I have not yet installed Norton 360 but may do so after reading reviews. In this day and age, it is shortsighted to purchase older packages without AI. To future proof yourself, you need to get used to AI implementation to augment your work.

Doesn't work on iPad
I’m reaching out regarding a frustrating issue I encountered with a product purchased from Amazon. The product description on the website stated that it was compatible with Mac (Latest iOS), which led me to purchase it. However, after following download and install instructions, I found that it wasn’t Mac-compatible, contrary to the description. If this had been clearly stated, I would never have made the purchase. This misunderstanding has caused significant stress and has left me out of pocket. I reached out to Microsoft for assistance, but they were unable to help, confirming that the product I purchased isn’t compatible with Mac, despite the misleading information provided on Amazon’s website. Microsoft can only offer technical support, and the responsibility for resolving the situation lies with Amazon, as the product was purchased directly through them.Following Amazon’s customer service instructions, I provided evidence of my communication with Microsoft, including the case number, to open a ticket and begin the refund process. However, I am still waiting for any resolution or confirmation from Amazon. I also inquired about receiving an e-voucher for the same value as the product, but was not offered this as an alternative. When I asked for my request to be escalated, I was given conflicting information from multiple representatives.I have now been in contact with four different representatives, and despite being told to email the Microsoft case number for the refund process to begin, I am receiving inconsistent responses from the same team. This situation has caused nothing but frustration, as I’m left without the product, refund, or any progress on resolving the issue. The lack of clarity and inconsistent communication from Amazon’s customer service has made this an extremely stressful experience.
