TOKYO White Handmade Wood and Rice Paper 4 Panel Room Divider/Splitter Screen

Last year I missed the opportunity to get this 4 pane divider so I bought the 3 pane one. I loved it so when the 4 pane was available again, I got it. It was packed within two boxes which is great despite the fact that both boxes got damaged - it didn’t affect the divider.As you’d expect for a divider like this, the material between the wood is fragile but stable enough to press your finger on. With my first divider, someone hit a door on it and it pierced the material, though it’s only visible when you look really close to it. (I added a picture of it)The wood has a nice matte white finish. You’d need to dust it every so often as it does collect it. As for the attachments, they have a gold finish.The negative thing I would say is that the price for the 4 pane was the same price of the 3 pane this year. The prices have inflated for both of them. That is the reason why I rated “value for money” one star down.Overall, I’m really happy with it. :)

Great screen/room divider at a good price and the customer service was very good too. There are no legs so it does have to be bent as per item image to stand on my (wooden) floor. It looks quite chic and the material used means it still lets plenty of light in. Really like it!

Looks nice fits the purpose .

I love the look of this screen but the framework is badly made. I had to exert force on one side of the frame where it was not fitting properly into the other. Dont know how long it will last but it looks great and is quite cheap so ok for now. It does prevent people seeing into a room if you use it like a blind or curtain and is easily moveable from place to place. I intent to also use it to block strong sunlight coming onto my desk at a certain time of day although manufacturers say this should not be in direct sunlight....could cause warping or fading. We will see.After some weeks of use the screen has held up to daily movement so I am pleased. Have updated to a four star rather than three.

Beautiful piece of furniture. The fact that the panels are made of paper was a worry to me before I saw it, but this is durable, heavy duty stuff.

We actually bought this because we thought we were about to move house and would be in a new bedroom with no curtains to begin with, to place in front of the window. In fact the move fell through. But the screen is relatively lightweight but well balanced and stands up properly, and I'm sure will one day have a use.

It looks fine but is basically paper and balsa wood so easily ripped/damaged/knocked over .Not worth the price in my opinion.

The product was described as off white. It was brilliant white with cheap looking brass hinges. The description also said the paper was sandwiched between the wood so it appeared the same on both sides. It did not! The paper was stuck on one side which looked dreadful. The seller provided a return address only. On the instruction of Amazon I used parcel monkey to return the item at a cost of £41 to myself. The seller refunded me only £50. A very poor quality item with incorrect description and only 50% refund. I would not recommend purchasing from this seller.
