Although the description currently states that a brush is included in the package, it is not. I didn't mind because it's not really necessary for this Nespresso Vertuoline capsule refilling system. I have saved a large number of previously brewed Nespresso capsules in an assortment of sizes so I'm always ready to fill one with my own roasted and freshly ground coffee beans. To use the Capmesso system, place your empty, clean and dry capsule inside the bottom half of the housing, fill with the proper amount of ground coffee using the enclosed scoop, and tamp it gently using the opposite flat end of the scoop. Don't press too hard cause it's unnecessary. Remove a seal from the enclosed package of 100 and carefully apply it to the top of the capsule, paying attention to the little tab for ease in use. Place the top half of the housing onto the bottom and twist gently a bit. There you have it, your refilled and sealed capsule is ready for use. I'm very used to applying these seals and rarely have a problematic brewing experience. It took me a couple of times at first but haven't had a problem in months. I do recommend this product and the packages of seals.

This product provides the perfect solution for refilling Nespresso Vertuo Pods at home. I was pleasantly suprised by the high quality of the wood base that makes it easy to pour coffee grounds into a previously used Vertuo capsule, which can be reused many times because it is aluminum. The outline of the wood base makes it easy to know where to align the top lid sticker (came with a lot in the package) and then the wooden top of the product makes it easy to make the perfect seal every time!The best part is that this method makes just as good (if not better) coffee than the original Nespresso Pods at a fraction of the cost. I save so much money using this method and also help the environment by reusing old capsules. I highly recommend this product, you won’t regret it!

I've had the original Capmesso lids for several years and enjoyed being able to cut down on waste and cost by re-using the Nespresso pods with my own coffee. This newer version takes it up a step, with the easy sealing method of the supplied foil lids. The wood-tone holder is great for filling and tamping (though I wish the tamper was the same size as the pod), and the cleverly designed top seals the pod without a hitch. This is a definite improvement for those who want to save lots of money, and reduce waste.

to get the best espresso shot or coffee out of your pods, leave a little room at the top of the pod. You also need to make sure to really press it down with the tool included. Make sure the coffee you are using is espresso ground! it needs to be very fine.

Poorly sealed my Nespresso Vertuo pods causing coffee pod explode inside the Nespresso vertuo machine. Messy clean up.

I wish I'd read the description more closely, as this kit doesn't include the actual pod! We ended up opening and reusing a couple of old Nespresso pods and it worked well, but unless you read the product description closely, it's so easy to assume this kit comes with everything you need. Other than that, it's a great system and so much more economical and eco-friendly!

It's a pretty simple device. You load the empty pod, you put the funnel on top to perfectly fill the coffee. Tamp it down and then use the funnel top to perfectly seal the pod with the Capmesso foil stickers. It's stupid simple and perfect every time.
