Product Description Review: Wondrously good choice - I have no idea how many Merrell's Ice Clogs I've bought over the years, but surely the number is in the dozens. I live in these clogs eight months of the year. LL Bean used to make a "leisure boot" that I always had two pairs of, one for wearing in public and one for wearing to renovate my house or work in the garden, etc. (In other words, one nice looking pair and one grungy pair, and when the grungy pair wore out, the nice pair replaced them, and I bought a new pair for "nice.") Quality of those went radically downhill, and Merrell's Ice Clogs became my new favorite. I have a farm and am in and out of the house continually. I adore these clogs because I can slip into and out of them at the door without having to unlace or use the bootjack. In the deep of winter, these clogs paired with a pair of wool socks keep my feet toasty, but they are not unpleasant in any way in even a warmish fall or spring. One thing: Ignore all advice to buy up or down a size or half-size, but do take your own lifestyle into consideration. These fit fine at my regular size 8, but I buy 8 1/2 simply because of the way I live. Were I living in town, I'd stick to 8's. As is, I need something I can simply slip into very quickly, frequently with heavy wool socks on. I can't praise these clogs highly enough. They look terrific (or at least my "nice" pairs always do), are incredibly comfortable for walking or standing, are sturdy as can be (if a goat steps on you, it won't hurt), and are neither too hot nor too cold for all but the hottest months. The only time I get my boots out anymore is when there's a lot of snow on the ground. They're worth every penny they cost, but if you can get them on sale (as at this time of year), I strongly recommend buying them ASAP. You won't regret it. Review: Warm and Comfy all in one! - I've had a brown pair of these for about 10 years that just were so beat up, the lining on one kept coming out, but when I tried to purchase a new pair last year Merrell had discontinued this model! I was devastated as these are just about the most comfortable shoes you will ever wear. You won't want to ever take them off, no socks needed, as they are fully lines and so soft, cushy and comfortable. Even as Spring and Summer roll around, you'll be awaiting fall and winter so you can sink your feet back into these fantastic shoes. So, I rushed to buy them (in black and then in brown) and yes, they are a little pricey, but for the time that we spend on our feet, they are worth every penny. And now, OH JOY! I find they have them now in a multitude of beautiful and vibrant colors, I wish I could have them all. Well, maybe next year we will be able to get a couple of other colors. Yeah! Thank you, Merrell, for bringing back this marvelous shoe. Awaiting my Stone (brown) ones. But will keep the old ones to use out in the yard. You just have to try these shoes; you will be so pleased that you did. I do not work nor am I in any way affiliated w/Merrell, I just LOVE these shoes. When my feet are happy, I'm happy!

Warm and Comfy all in one!

Good support
I am always looking for good support for my flat feet that have had a few surgeries. I have found shoes that are lined with sherpa wool, or something similar, help with the friction on my sensitive toes and feet. And since my lower ankles swell daily, getting worse as the day goes on, I look for open backs. These feel pretty tight when I first put them on and I was thinking about sending them back, but as you wear them, they do loosen up a bit, conforming to your foot. They are so warm. But do be warned to wear a sock because the lining will dye your toes and toenails and it takes a long time to wear off, even with scrubbing. I am able to wear a thin sock with these and I highly recommend Bomba lightweight socks (they donate a pair with each purchase). I am happy to have purchased this pair of Merrells here on Amazon where I saved over $20, compared to other websites. I just wish you had the variety of colors that are offered elsewhere. But not that I know how comfortable and supportive this style is, I will be buying other colors elsewhere. So, if you have tender feet and need good support, look no further. You won't be disappointed. And I have read that these are water-proof and folks wear them even in the snow, so I look forward to this type of weather here in the Sierras where we just moved to.

No doubt the best clog/mule on the market. Comfort, warmth, and durability. Love em!
There's no doubt that you get your money's worth with these shoes. I wear them from late fall straight through the spring and love that they have such nice support. These are by far the most comfortable shoes one can wear other than a cushy sneaker, and for cold weather there is nothing better. The only weather I would not wear them in is deep snow, then the boots are best but for most everything else these are great. I did spray them with a silicone protectant. My last pair lasted 4 solid winters of almost daily wear. Although some claim they run wide I find them perfect as for me they accommodate a thicker sock than I'd wear with sneakers. They feel as if they grip the ground well even on ice. Although they are suede they really do hold up well, no damage or discoloration even though I wear them in the rain. Just a great shoe. The sheepskin interior makes them comfy and warm, and it does not cause your feet to swear like the cheap synthetic furs do, additionally I have never noticed an odor, despite almost daily use. I worry that Merrell will discontinue this shoe, it's the only one with the sheepskin lining which improves this shoe, and really helps with warmth and comfort. I'm in New England and it's gets cold here, these are warmer than my winter boots, I am so grateful to have warm feet many a frigid morning! Slip on heal is has enough of a lip that you don't feel the show will come off, or not protect your tootsies from the elements. Quality is first rate....One of the better products I've ever purchased in footwear. I pray this model remains a staple in the Merrell product line. It's a winner.

Recommended by my Podiatrist
Waiting for more colors, hopefully. I have other Merrell shoes, all size 8. I have a wide foot in front (left foot has a bunion), right foot has big toe arthritis; and recently broke a bone there, and broke off a bone spur on the arthritic big toe (painful); I have been wearing an orthotic type "boot" to help the toe from bending. My podiatrist says the best shoes are...Merrells! When I first got this style (clog type), I didn't wear them (I have 3 pairs) because they felt like they would come off. So, I started wearing the left shoe(s) because they have a bit higher heel to compensate for the high sole on the boot. Tada.....comfort city! I will be ordering more of these and hope to find one for summer wear. The newest one - which I did buy on Amazon, in grey, is a bit different style than my older 2 pairs. It seems to have a slightly higher heel/sole, and a higher instep area, but they too are comfortable. They do not fall off my feet as I had expected, the back being lower than my other Merrells. The rubber sole keeps me from slipping but you still need to be careful on ice, as with any shoe/boot. I have tried another "big name" clog type shoe & felt as though I would twist an ankle in them. Merrells are the way to go if you have foot problems.

Cozy & warm, secure tread on sole, fits securely . Ideal temperature 25 -50 F.
These shoes are cozy and warm . I wear them from 50 degrees F to 25 degrees F with no socks . They are stylish as well . I need good arch supports . For the average foot the arch support might be fine . I put in fleece and cork soles by Bear Soles. They add much needed support and bring the shoes to a whole new level and make them even more cozy. I couldn’t do it right away when the shoes were new. I had to break them in first . The average foot would be most likely be fine with the Bear Soles in right away. These shoes hold up well . This is my second pair . I purchased them because I lost the first pair . They feel secure on your feet . I have other well known brands like Birkenstock which I love too . I feel the Merrell with the rubber sole and secure on your foot can handle the elements better. I save my Fleece Birkenstock’s for a cozy house slipper.

Warm, comfortable slip on winter shoe
This is my third pair , I love these slip on clog type sneakers !! The offer good traction in the snow and ice, the fuzzy lining is super comfy and warm, they wipe down easily despite being suede so they can stay clean looking, and if slipping quickly in and out of shoes no bending or pulling is important to you these are great!! My only complaint is if you live in them, eventualy the back heel cup collapses, making them more open backed and house slipper like visually. But this does not harm the shoe's stability.... I wear mine out intil they are totally flattened and funky before replacing! These shoes look fine under jeans, better naturally when new, but perfect to run to town for basic errands of go out for a casual dinner. I have very wide feet with narrow heels and I prefer as much arch suppport as possible... for me these are an affordable, pleasing combination of my goals . I will buy a fourth pair after I beat my new ones up !!

Practical cozy shoes-highly recommend
So comfy, so toasty, so practical...love these shoes. I got the Chocolate Brown and they fit similarly to my other size 9M Merrell shoes. These feel wonderful on my feet. There is some arch support, so they help avoid a PF attack, but I would not expect them to fix PF when there is active inflammation. I have worn them a lot for a week, but my plan is to use them as house shoes. They will meet that need easily because they are easy to slip on, snug enough that I can go up and down stairs, and have the very durable slip resistant Merrell sole that allows me to get the mail, take the dog out or run to the store. The width of these shoes works well for my slightly wide feet. They were a bit snug when I first slipped my feet in, but more comfortable for me as the fur compressed. I would not be able to wear other than very thin socks, but I don't intend to. My feet do not slide around (as they do with the too wide horrible feeling Spenco shoes Spenco Women's Supreme Slide (8 B(M) US, Charcoal/Charcoal) . On the Merrell, the fur feels natural and does not make my feet sweat. These are clogs, so, as expected, my heels rises some when I walk.

Easy On and Off
I'm pleased that I ordered a half size bigger than normal as the shoe is lined which takes up some space. Also, I needed room for cotton socks. I walk very easily in these new shoes and my foot feels well supported. My feet stay dry. Pleasing colour. Delivered earlier than predicted.

Comfortable great clog
This is my third pair of these boots/clog style. I wear them for the winter weather in Vancouver...especially for walking our dog. They are fabulous - comfortable, supportive, warm, I hope Merrill continues to make them, as they are such good boots. The style makes them easy to slip on...the soles help with preventing slipping...they are great! (as I said my 3rd pair!)

Very warm and comfortable
I ordered the grey colour to get the black sheepskin lining that will not get so dirty looking over time but was sent the brown pair with cream lining so I don't know how that went wrong in the delivery process. It's too expensive to return to the US so I'm stuck with them. They are keeping my feet nice and warm on cold mornings and I've worn them more than I expected as they're so comfortable. I thought the low back on the shoe/mule style would be an issue but it's been ok so far. I live in a relatively mild climate but really feel the cold so don't know how good these would be in really cold weather. I probably wouldn't take them away on a trip to colder places as they are not a full shoe. Overall I expect these to last me many years as Winter slippers.
