Everything i had hoped for and more...
Just as my acquisition of a new car recently restored my love for driving, so my purchase of this lovely kindle restored my love for reading. As a retired teacher of English Language and.Literature, I had read comparatively little since I stopped working full-time.I am a type one diabetes sufferers of more than 4 decades and consequently the sharpness of my vision is not what it used to be. That is why my use of physical books has declined. My new kindle, which is everything I had hoped for and more, has adjustable screen brightness and varying sizes of print. Its settings provide a range of sleep options which I have set to.5 minutes. It gives time to go and put the kettle on etc and still keeps the same page without sleeping. It is light and easily handled. The pages do not stick or skip (in my experience - or extremely rarely if at all) and the battery lasts what I would consider to be a very respectable length of time with moderate use - perhaps a week or more on average. This compares very favourably with other electronic devices. The books download almost instantaneously - even long Victorian novels which I am devouring at the moment. It is great to be able to purchase books for a mere 49p typically. All in all I am very impressed and delighted with this kindle, which is affordable and very competitively priced.

My Favourite Kindle Yet! 😉📚
I've loved using Kindles, ever since I bought the 4th Gen Kindle, over a decade ago.I recently bought another 4th Gen, a few months ago, to have as a backup.I've been using a 10th Gen, White, Basic for a few years and loved it, because it (unlike all of the black models, I've ever seen) didn't show fingerprints, which, tbh, annoy the heck out of me!However, recently, as it's always been in a case, so I can't understand why, it's developed a small "crack" in the frame, to the right of the screen, so I decided that maybe it was time to upgrade.Looking at the colours of the 11th Gen 2022 Models, I liked the "Denim," but was worried that, it too, would be plastered with fingerprints in no time. So, I was pleased when they brought out the Green/Matcha coloured model for 2024, (although I would've preferred a white option) in the hope that it wouldn't show fingerprints as much as the black option.I decided to wait for the Black Friday offers and was disappointed to find, that when they were listed on Thursday, at first, that only the black option was reduced on the Amazon Site (I later found that the Matcha also went down in price, later in the day)But the Matcha was on offer in a High Street Store, so I immediately ordered it and picked it up on the same day.I have to say, that the Set Up process was a breeze.I used the Kindle App on my phone and within minutes, it was all set up.I am particularly pleased, having spent hours, in the past, having organized my Library into "Collections," that all of my collections were transferred to the new device, which was something that I was worried about, but no issues. As to the device itself. It's a delight. I didn't think I'd like the "green" colour, but I absolutely love it.It's very compact and lightweight and a pleasure to hold "naked," and/or in a case.NO fingerprints. The front "bezels" on the device are made of some sort of matt "coarse," almost "roughly" textured plastic, which resists fingerprints and which makes it very secure to hold "naked."The screen is clearer and sharper than previous Kindles. The page turning process is very snappy and the screen, very responsive in all actions. One thing I am particularly pleased with, is that I have never been a fan of the "progress in book" option, which I couldn't disable/turn off (permanently) on my 10th Gen Kindle and whenever I did, I was constantly "reactivating it," accidentally, which I found very annoying. However, although the options are still available and I have it set to "page/percentage" I haven't once managed to "change," the status of the progress by accidentally touching the screen, at the bottom. In fact, I have tried to deliberately change the progress, to find that it takes several taps to do so, which is something I'm not at all unhappy about, so I'm happy to leave it on "page/percentage," rather than trying to turn it off completely.I have also purchased the OEM case for the device, which, although very pricey, fits beautifully, is comfortable to hold and doesn't feel "bulky" unlike the OEM case, I briefly tried on the 10th Gen Kindle.I did try a cheaper case, but, sadly, in spite of being advertised for the 11th Gen 2024 Model was too large for it and had to be returned. There don't seem to be that many options, thus far, for this particular model of KIndle. All in all, I would say that it's my favourite Kindle yet.If you're looking for a good basic e-reader for a reasonable (especially at the moment) price, then I would say, look no further.I can thoroughly recommend this device!😉📚

Love it!
Why did you choose this product over others?:I LOVE THIS KINDLEIt’s perfect, so light and such a good size. The light and dark modes are great & the backlight works perfect. I have seen people mention the battery died quickly but I keep it on airplane mode at all times. This really saves the battery. I only take it off airplane mode if I need to update it, download or delete a book etc. The size is perfect, it fits in all my bags and even in most pockets. The price is great. This is my favourite kindle ♥️ I’ve actually purchased this as a gift for someone after having mine for a few months as I love it so much. The matcha colour is super pretty!

This kindle is fab!
This Kindle is brilliant. The Matcha Green colour is divine, I love it, it’s beautiful. The quality and ease of use is second to none. I’ve had many different kindles and tablets (currently have a Fire Tablet which I use for reading the odd time, but mainly for watching TV in bed), but this Kindle has a quality I’ve not seen in the others before. The screen is clear, the page turning is fast, and storage is perfect: I have just shy of 3000 books on it and I’ve only used a little under 4GB of space. It is lightweight, so so light, honestly it’s like holding air and as always, perfect for sitting reading outdoors without the worry of the glare. Overall, amazing quality for such a great price. I was toggling between this and the Colorsoft, but to be honest I couldn’t justify the big jump in price just to see my book covers in colour (when I have that already on my Fire Tablet). If you just want a Kindle for reading - this is for you!
