I’m so glad I tried this mix for my plants! It has everything they need, drainage, pumice, lava rock, and sand, plus worm castings and biochar to keep them healthy. My plants are looking better and noticeably happier growth. The added mycorrhizae is a nice bonus, too! I’m thinking to try this for different kind of plants too. Overall, a fantastic mix that makes caring for my plants so much easier. Highly recommend!

The true test of this cactus potting mix will be "how are my cactus buddies doing a year from now?" Did they happily flower and grow, or did they cry out in terror (metaphorically) and say ermagerd my roots are too damp?To look at the stuff, the answer is more likely to be the former.Good mix of fine and coarse, and it appears to me that drainage and drying won't be an issue. If you already have a favorite mix and want to check out this stuff because it's cheaper (or just "because experiment") go for it.We've had both really good and really bad cactus mix from well-known brands, so this is always a bit of a crapshoot. For right now, for one bag, can say this looks like it'll work somewhere between fine and great.

My wife is an avid gardener and grows quite a few succulents: pearls, jade plants, hens and chicks, etc. She likes the potting soil mix. It has all the ingredients needed to ensure they do not remain in the water for too long. (The kiss of death for succulents) With this mix, drainage is essential and with biochar, lava, and coconut coir, you will have what you need. Because we are on the cusp of winter, she plans to use this next Spring and is thrilled to have it.
