Buy this wallet instead of the Edge kind. I bought and tried both and the ridge is nowhere near as nice as this one. I returned the Ridge one.

I wanted to fall in love with this new concept in wallets. I have heard the stories about wallets that do not protect you with RFID Blocking and how your credit card's information can be read while your wallet is in your pocket. This is a very well made item and it is being presented in a rather regal looking manner, but it is not a wallet, it is something different.So let's discuss what in fact it is:It is a metal box, it has a nice money clip attached to the back, it has a luxuriant looking artificial leather facing, with a built-in pocket (nice touch with the pocket, there is a little notch in the material at the bottom for you to place your thumb and push bills up or cards up from the bottom, making it easy to remove things from the pocket). It has high-end looking metal placards to both the front and back which add to the overall appearance quite well. It can neatly and orderly hold your credit cards (between 6-8) in safety. It is also, surprisingly, very heavy in my opinion. It is additionally quite uncomfortable to carry this for any period of time in your pocket, the way that you would with a standard men's wallet. There is also the concept of being comfortable with something boxy and hard in your pocket all the time, as opposed to the way in which a standard leather wallet is malleable in one's pocket. So in my opinion this is not something one would on a daily basis carry upon their person. For some people this is fine, if your practice is to not carry your wallet on your person but rather in a bag that is with you, as an example.With regard to the mechanism which controls the credit cards moving upward out of the box and readily available for you to remove, it is as simple as sliding a finger across and causing a card like disc to move downward, thereby, causing all the credit cards to move upward. I don't particularly care for that, all the cards coming up at once. I think I would prefer to have a mechanism where I could select which card rose up out of the box (just a personal preference). They include a sample plastic card (I placed it inside and then used the mechanism to cause the card to rise, there is a photo of that, which I have included). It seems simple and unlikely to fail easily.For what it is, I believe that it is attractive and well made. However it would not be your go-to for daily life as a wallet, unless it was to be carried inside something else.
