This offering of a 1-Pound Roll of Hollow Core 1/4-Inch Lead Wire - from Bullet Weights is reasonably priced with free delivery with a Amazon Prime membership pricing. If you drive somewhere to buy it, it will cost you the price for the trip in gas money, if you drive what I drive to haul around my boat and if you can find where it is sold. I value online shopping for the ability to find what you want and the convenience of getting it from your computer. Some areas, where recreational fishing has tackle shops near your location, but not here. For me to get to a store where they stock fishing equipment and supplies, I will have to drive a minimum of 30 miles, round trip. I like making my own line sinkers with a eyelet inserted into the hollow lead that hangs directly down with little shoulder to snag. If it does, the way I place my eyelet into the hollow core, it will come out if it is snagged hard. Then I can retrieve the eyelet and place a new weight on it later at home and continue fishing with a new rigged weight I have placed in the tackle box. I have even stabbed a double onto a weight with a small screw, the proper size for the hole in the lead wire and continued to fish, in about a minute with twice the weight on my line. Easy. I keep those screws handy also. These home-made weights cast and stay on as well as my purchased weights. These are just a good option for a pound of lead weights.

Good Value For A Variety Of Uses
Product arrived exactly as described. I used these to balance hanging light fixtures and ceiling fans. Very pliable and easy to bend/shape as needed. Just cut to desired length depending on the amount of weight required.
