Hygroscopic filaments like Nylon, PETG, TPU, & polycarbonate rapidly absorb moisture from the surrounding environment causing them to lose their mechanical properties and printability. Wet filament leads to constantly jammed and ruined prints. Even if you manage to get a print to successfully finish, it’s going to be a stringy, ugly nightmare with a fraction of the strength. Isolate them in a filament dry box, storage container or resealable bag with Slice Engineering’s Filament Drying Desiccant and never worry about wet filament again! Our desiccant, which is made from activated alumina, is 10X more powerful than silica gel, is able to lower your humidity down to almost 0%, and creates enough of a relative humidity (Rh) gradient to absorb both surface moisture and water particles captured inside the filament! Each canister of Filament Drying Desiccant fits right in the center of your filament spool and is infinitely rechargeable. Compatible with all FDM materials and both 1.75 mm & 3.00 mm rolls!
