I purchased this product as I've been in several close call driving situations and wanted to be able to have evidence of fault in the event that I actually could be involved in a traffic accident.This product had a great price, but I was a bit skeptical of the quality (which turned out to be great!). At <$100, you will not find a better camera with more options. The image quality is great and it has an integrated G sensor to detect when an accident has occurred and stops its video looping feature.Either of the camera images can be displayed on the LCD screen, integrated into the mirror, or a picture in picture option can be chosen. The backup camera even has 4 LEDs to illuminate the area when backing up. This is good and bad because it requires additional wiring to the reverse lights to get the lights working. I haven't hooked mine up yet because the oem backup lights are doing just fine for me, for now. I am curious to see how bright those LEDs are though.

We have a Honda Pilot old model, when backing up, a lot of angles driver can’t see. The safety of backing car is a little concern and driver needs very cautious. My daughter start learning to drive, this equipment will help her to make sure she can see all angles when backing the car. And give her more confidence. Car sensors can be installed , but much more expensive. This option meets the needs and save money.

The operating instructions for this dash camera are very bad, they are in very broken English similar to many of the customer reviews.From what I can tell from the small display on the mirror, the picture quality is good and "should be recording", however... I can not save, lock, or view any of the video files that are stored on my SD card, using the display on the mirror, or my Mac. This maybe an operator, or operators manual error, who knows? I did a very complicated install/wire routing for the rear camera, and would like to try a different main unit, without having to remove the existing/working rear camera.

This was so easy to fit over your existing mirror with strong rubber fixings. The LCD screen is excellent and the menu are easy to navigate.The picture in the mirror is crystal clear. I have not tried it out at night . My only gripe is that I cannot fit the rear view camera because I have a Mini clubman with 2 van doors and I already had a reversing camera fitted on the number plate but I might try and work out something another day. I can highly recommend this dash cam it is well made and reasonably priced.

It plugs into your lighter which I don't like but it does what it is supposed to at a very reasonable price.

Nice. Not expensive

This worked fine for about 5 months and then started having trouble. On the install, I got the kit to hook it straight into the fuse box so it would have power and when using it, I would have the screensaver come on after a minute or so so the screen wasn't always on. A couple of months ago, it seemed like the unit would come on and then go off and then start again when the car was started. I tried charging it inside and trying again, but it didn't hold the charge. I finally just unplugged it eventually stopped functioning correctly. Sometimes, the backup camera would stay on even when going forward.

No installation instructions.. I had to look on YouTube on how to install it. I’m still trying to figure out on how to automatically turn off the front camera once my car is on ‘drive’ without having to manually hold and push the ‘M’ button.
