This has many uses. It would be incredibly helpful if I lived alone. It doesn’t work quite as well as a human helper, but it is good to keep handy in case something happens.

The dressing stick was great right up til it cracked. It's right where the insert is for the screw to go into it. It's staying together with the metal sleeve that goes over the joint. But you can feel it wobble when I'm trying to get undressed with the stick. I thought it would be better than the metal one I previously bought by a different company. You would think that there would be better quality items for people that are disabled and need these items to have an independent life. I gave it a 3 star because it's still holding with that metal sleeve that covers the joint but still is an inferior product. Very disappointed in the quality.

...dressing, undressing & putting on & taking off shoes.There is an included little pamphlet showing how to use the assembled dressing tool but there are no included assembly, use, care or cleaning instructions. However it is very intuitive to put together & take apart.Unassembled, the tool takes up very little space & the components could be carried in a suitcase, backpack, briefcase, tote bag or large purse. They are lightweight but smooth & nicely finished wood, the C-hook is some kind of metal (maybe stainless steel?) while the dressing hook is a white vinyl over metal hook.Assembled the dressing tool is ~27" long which is 1 of the shorter dressing tools available. If you are a petite adult this will suit you better than if you are a taller personI just wish the dressing tool had an included drawstring bag so when you disassemble the tool (partially or completely) the components could be neatly stored together. The C-hook section is the most natural of hangers from which the tool could be hung or it could be hung from the S shaped dressing hook if attached, but a bag would help store the dressing tool in as compact a space as possibleThere is no email address in the instructions (ditto no website address, QR code & other social media addresses) from which you could seek customer support or customer service which is not great.4 out of 5 stars (include a drawstring carry bag, more complete written instructions & all the contact information for getting customer service & customer support to get a perfect 5 star score).

Even though this is marketed toward elderly and as a dressing aid, this is useful for everyone! This dressing stick is well made, is easy to put together and take apart, stores easily in a drawer or cabinet, and comes with an instructional booklet. This is great for putting on and taking off socks and shoes, pulling up zippers (for pants, dresses w/zippers in back, jackets, hoodies, etc) and putting on jackets or sweaters, especially around the shoulders. Compared to other thingsIke long shoes horns for socks and shoes, this is much better and has a variety of uses. I’ve even used this to hang up clothes in my closet, move objects on shelves, as well as take things down with the hooks! This is a useful tool that is perfect for anyone, is useful for those with limited mobility, or just when you need an extra hand! This would also make a great gift, especially for the person who has everything!

The stick screws together in the middle - so it is easily portable if you want to pack it in your luggage bag for traveling. It comes with directions - but seems self-explanatory. Easy to use with minimal bending of the body to use for dressing or reaching for things.
