Great product fits easily in any go bag. We have well water that comes out a little discolerd and the taste is a little earthy.. Tried this filter and the water was clean and crisp. Love the dust caps so you don't need to worry about anything contaminating the filter.. One of the easiest filters I've used.

Good to have for camping, food storage and emergencies

We ended up out so far on our bikepacking trip that we ran across a reservoir that had several notices stating not safe for human consumption. It was the only water source we came across for miles other than a barely muddy drainage ditch so we chanced it. So far so good, water tasted clean and fresh through the straw and no side effects from the reservoir.

No issues with it at all. Works as expected and still going strong, have one for emergency purposes and one for hikes and trips. Never know what the future holds so better to be safe than sorry with emergency supplies.

Membrane Ultrafiltration is the tip of spear in water treatment world. You basically get same tech in these awesomely priced filters that GE acquired from Zenon Environmental is now core foundation of every modern water treatment plant. Except at the plant operators can pump air into the capillary filter system to spot defective broken strand (that's where you can see bubbling). These sealed units appear to be untestable but are still better than, well it's ultrafiltration so just polish off any tastes with activated charcoal and for peace of mind, hit water with UV pen (like Steripen).

Seems to work ok. Hope they filter the 1000+ Litres as advertised…
