#%$^! Pin? More like love of my life pin!
These roll pin punches saved my life! I needed to get the roll pin (normally called something a little more accurate) out of a shift linkage on a 2000 Honda Civic, and I was hacking at it for days with a screw driver and dead blow mallet. I finally broke down and bought these, thinking that they might help a little. Well, they showed up and BAM! One smack with the right punch and the roll pin popped right out.Stop wasting time and energy trying to weasel your way through a project with two sticks and rock. Just buy the right tool for the job!

Real take on these
I ordered these (my wife got them for me) despite the bad reviews. I will say the 1/16 th punch was bent in the package (reason for the 4 stars). I was able to bend it back easily. I then checked the sizes against the ROLL PINS on my AR. 1/16 th isn't one that I would use anyway so I'm not worried about it. These are designed to make it possible to get the roll pins back out and will work very well for this purpose. Thicker shank versions w/o the "Hemispherical Tip" would get caught in the roll pin channel and force you to use pliers to get the pins out thus damaging the pin so it can't be re-used. IMO these will work much better for installing or removing roll pins especially due to the Hemispherical Tip. Be sure to use the right punch for the job. Flat tipped tapered shank punches will work for the front sight gas block pins. These weren't designed for that. Lets face it, any tool can break if used improperly. I found out I won't need all of the sizes for an AR build but for $20 it's well worth it.

Wheeler Roll Pin Punch Set
I have several Wheeler products & find them to be of good quality. This punch set is no different. The punches were all straight, no bent shafts with a black oxide type of finish. The only surprise I had is that the individual punches do not have the size stamped on them. It’s convenient to have the sizes marked on the punches. Other than that, the punches worked as they should.
