Excellent read!

If you are a fan of the whole series of the Wicked books, then this is a must-read. You will learn a great deal about Elphaba , her family, and what shaped her. I enjoyed it so much that I am rereading the Wicked series.

It has been some time since I last read the other books in this series. Maguire’s writing style takes some time to which to adapt, but quite brilliant once the reader adjusts to it. The characters were interesting and well developed This book seemed more like a collection short stories about the same characters than a novel with a central plot. It was slow at times and surprisingly lacking in drama and excitement. Hoped for more.

I love the cover and the design on the outside of the pages of this book. The book looks s a hard read. I couldn’t finish it.

Excellent prequel to the story of Wicked. I adore Gregory Macquire’s Wicked and its continuing story in the books 2-4. He has such a wonderful way of bringing a fresh look to the classic story. I highly recommend it.

Great book for Elphaba fans.
