This was purchased for my dad who drives a Nissan Rogue 2015 SL AWD that suddenly had an engine check lit on the dash board. Before purchasing this, he was worried that something serious happened to the engine. He brought his car to one of the auto shops for free code scanner check ,and the staff said the car has a failed catalytic converter. They recommended replacing the catalytic converter. But, upon reading the Nissan Rogue manual , it states that a loose gas tank cap will cause an engine check to light up as well. Surely, my dad checked and closed the gas tank cap tightly until it clicks, and after 120 miles trip the engine check light is gone. But after 2 weeks light is on again, and now the gas tank cover is not really clicking very well when closed. So my dad was hopeful that it is the gas tank cover replacement that will be the solution, and not the catalytic converter that will cost him hundreds or maybe thousand bucks. He purchased this "Gas Cap Fuel Cap " . It came inside a small box and wrapped sealed with plastic bag package, and has 2 kinds of buttons to lock the cap to the fuel cover of the car. It was easy to insert and replace after the old gas tank cap was removed. And once closed, you can feel and hear the click while its being turned clockwise. So my dad filled up full tank with gas and drove 50 mile trip going to work that morning. Then, after end of work shift he started his car..... and whaaala !!! Engine check light gone. He drove his car for 3 weeks and no check engine light ever recurred. Emission test 6 weeks after "GAS CAP FUEL CAP" was used as replacement- --- EMISSION TEST PASSED and NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. Problem solved just under 10 bucks. :)
