The telescoping holds well at any extension. The gripping mechanism holds its position well and does not slip, even in the wind. The only issue I had was attaching the flag. The ball tip of the pole is fairly large, and I had difficulty fitting it over the sleeve of the flag. I received two flags; the first one I tried was sewn too tightly; the second was just loose enough to get it on with a struggle. So be aware of that limitation. The flag pole itself worked great.

These are one of the few solutions available if you don’t have a tubular-style rack. I have an adventure-style top box and these work perfectly with the blade-style racks. It’s a good, solid mount with no wiggle at all. Would buy again!

Works really well, i don't extend it the whole way up, so I'm not sure if it would bend in the wind.

Using these flagpoles on my Harley bagger. I routinely participate in holiday parade processions and these fit the bill for displaying the flags appropriate for the occasion.The adjustable clamps are strong and sturdy, and the telescopic masts will accommodate a variety of flag sizes. I use a combination of carabiners and zip ties for securing.Do note: Extending the masts fully while riding at higher speeds is risky. I use 12x18 flags to keep the masts as low as possible if I'm hitting the open road to avoid potential breakage.These poles are indeed an upgrade from the unrefined methods previously employed and add a pleasing, custom look to my machine.Definitely recommended.
