Easy to setup. I also tested it in my bullet grill with a lot of smoke, it beeps lodly. This is the cheapest option if you have fireplace to detect carbon and fire at the same time. Too bad it does not connect to Meross app. It has sealed battery which should match the life of the sensor, 10 years. Quality of Meross devices is one of the top. It it very compact, perfect for low ceilings.

Good luck slotting the alarm into the holder if you're mounting this on the ceiling! Its slimline design (very neat!) means it can be tricky placing the alarm into its holder. Too early to really give proper feedback, although I was hoping for this to be "smart" (as most things from meross tend to be). I haven't noticed the light that flashes regularly to indicate that the detector is working, which is good or bad depending on your take.

they are easy to fit and look great, modern look and smaller than the old ones i had no bothering light and easy to do your monthly check.

The alarm is slim and unobtrusive and easy to test once installed by simply pressing the middle of the alarm. It is also easy to see the green flashing light to show the alarm is working once the alarm is up. The alarm arrived with the back mounting plate already attached to the alarm and it was really difficult to get this off so that we could install the alarm - once up though the alarm feels well secured. Before securing in place you have to get a screwdriver to activate the alarm which is a bit fiddly. This alarm is ideal for a static caravan or small home space where you can replace the need for a separate smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm with this one alarm covering both. The alarm sounder is really loud, testing works well, but from what I can work out there is no difference between the alarm sounder for CO2 and for smoke. You need to be very careful not to think the alarm is malfunctioning if it appears to be going off for no apparent reason ( which our old smoke alarm did a lot!) as it could be alerting you to the presence of CO2. I think as this alarm is a 2 in 1 it represents good value for money and is very useful for the right type of space.

Firstly, I love the way this detector looks. For some reason aesthetic design is often overlooked with these, yet for something that's mounted on a wall or ceiling in my home I want it to at least look reasonably decent. This Meross dual detector has a wonderfully understated, symmetrical design, and is pretty slim so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Installing the detector was a breeze. It comes with a back plate, fitting screws, and wall plugs, and it's simply a case of marking out the holes to drill through the back plate and, once ready, slotting and rotating the detector into place. I did find attaching the unit to the back plate a little fiddly, until I realise there's a helpful alignment marker on one side. One thing to keep in mind is unlike many units that activate once you attach them to the backplate, this one has a physical switch you need to move to the on position when you install it. Once you do that, the unit happily chirps to let you know it's active. Testing is simple too, just press the body of the unit towards the wall/ceiling and it briefly cycles through the two alarms. So far, I haven't experienced any false activations or issues with the device, and it gives me some peace of mind that it's detecting both smoke and carbon monoxide. Overall, I'm very impressed and happy I can hopefully leave this in place for several years without worrying too much about it apart from a regular test.
