Ronseal 34736 Multi-Purpose Wood Filler - Light 250g

Like several other reviewers, I was startled by the lurid colour of this filler when I opened the pot. But it's actually a very clever product. Yes, it's bright terracotta when in the pot, and also when applied and fully dry ; but when you sand it, it changes almost like magic, becoming much lighter and almost indistinguishable from pine. My photo shows a small spot of dry & unsanded filler, but the 6-inch vertical section immediately below has a large area of the same product when sanded down.The bright colour helps you to spot the areas you need to sand down ; and this can be particularly useful if like me you sometimes want to apply a thin coat of white primer to highlight any small remaining defects before doing the final filling. I've lost count of the times when I find unsanded invisible areas of white filler when applying undercoat ; this coloured version should prevent that annoying problem. So having used the white version for many years, I'm now a convert to "light".

It did the job. Was easy to apply with a small trowel, deeper parts of my repair needed several layers. Sands easily too.Colour a bit odd, more terracotta than light wood as described.Pricing is confusing... there are sooo many different pack sizes, don’t be tempted to buy a large pack, it’ll go off before you use it so you won’t get the bulk saving you think you’re getting.

I have used this before and this one is no use what so ever, it came dried out and a deep orange colour. The previous pots bought from SF were a lighter shade and could actually be used so will revert back instead of being lazy.

Better than the ronseal you get in the tube! This stuff is easier to apply and seems to work better

Opened tub and found filler very dry. Not easy to spread.

Very effect for the small filling jobs. Highly recommended 😊

Used for hiding screw heads in shelving unit, need to make sure where you are applying it is completely dust free or is just a dust picker up paste.

le doy una estrella porque no es el mismo producto de la imagen ni de color blanco, aunque por lo que veo en el producto que me han entregado me servira igualmente. todavia no lo e probado asi que no lo puedo recomendar

SCONSIGLIATO ASSOLUTAMENTE PER LA TONALITA'.Prodotto giunto puntualmente e puntalmente provato, il primo approccio però non è stato dei migliori in quanto la tonalità del prodotto non rispecchia assolutamente il legno naturale.Lavoro abitualmente varie essenze di legno, quali faggio, abete, acero, cirmolo e larice, il prodotto era stato acquistato principalmente per le tonalità medie, chiare, quali sono le essenze naturali; il prodotto invece presenta un colore tendente al ROSSICCIO, anche dopo l'essicazione resta comunque molto scuro-magenta.La struttura e resistenza del prodotto sono comunque buone, ma con la tonalità proprio non ci siamo.Potrebbe essere utlizzato su legni come il pino o il rovere, per altri tipi di legno è assolutamente INADATTO.Giudizio negativo per la descrizione, il prodotto comunque ha una nota positiva.

Prodotto vecchio, secco. Ma pare che funzioni per il resto. Da bagnare prima per poter funzionare. Pratico per piccoli lavoretti
