This arrived well packaged and with no damage. It even comes with the battery! Immediately tried it and it detects metal, no problem. It does not detect gold and silver, just fyi.

This is a good complement to my larger metal detectors as it is easier to use to pinpoint objects once generally located by the larger detectors. A very handy lightweight tool that can be used when the awkward, bulkier detectors are not an option.It has three methods of signaling detection: beep, vibration, both, as well as watching the LCD display. I also like that it powers down if no activity is detected within 5 minutes of power-up.I recommend trying one of these if you are a detectorist.

I love metal detecting and when I'm up to it, I enjoy treasure hunting. Still waiting for the treasure, but who knows?My old pinpointer finally died after a long struggle. I knew it was about to wear out...and it did.My previous one was quite a bit more expensive than this one, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It came, packed well, in a box.When I opened it, I was impressed with the weight. No, it's not too heavy at all, but I can tell it isn't one of the very lightweight cheap ones.I like the way it's made. The grip on it is excellent. That's important because treasure hunting can take one to any number of dirt conditions - dry, dusty, or muddy. This one will be great for the muddy, slippery areas because I will be able to keep a good grip on it.I charged and tested it. There were several metals detected with complete accuracy. As I previously said, this one cost less than my old dead one. It had all the bells and whistles of the time when I bought it about 10 years ago. I must say, this one is as good or better than the old one. That really surprised me, considering the lower price.Overall, this is a great little pin pointer with a good grip. The sensitivities are right on target. I'm satisfied and recommend it for any and all fellow treasure hunters.

I have two metal detectors and several pinpointers. My "backup" detector is rarely used, but has been pressed into service when my main detector was unavailable, or when I have a "guest" hunting with me.This pinpointer is a nice product. It claims to be waterproof (IP68), has decent sensitivity, an LCD screen that shows signal strength, an LED illuminator, three detection modes (vibrate, vibrate and sound, and sound alone), and detects all the metals I run across. The light also flashes in sync with the vibration.It comes with a battery, which is nice.It is an attractive product, blue in color, which is a nice change from all the orange "carrots" out there, and coincidentally matches my backup detector.I will give this to guest to use when they are working with me, or use it if my main pinpointed goes down.Highly recommended.

This is kind of a fun thing to have. It’s small enough to take for those rambling walks where you might be going on a metal treasure hunt. This was easy to use. It takes a 9V battery is included. This works well and I would buy it again.

It wouldn't reliably detect keys lying on the floor under a few blankets 3ft away.
