Has minutiflorum vs. the more common vulgare oregano species.
I have taken oil of oregano off and on for decades. I always believed that the vulgare variety was the preferred. But after researching minutiflorum, I feel it might be the better choice, although both varieties are beneficial.Minutiflorum can only be grown wild and thrives in high altitudes. It is found only in Turkey. In comparison, vulgare is grown wild worldwide, and you can even grow it yourself. Another major difference is that minutiflorum is non-standardized, while vulgare is standardized. I learned that the carvacrol level of minutiflorum is naturally high, so standardization isn’t necessary. This oil of oregano ticks off some of my must-have boxes: wild grown, steam distilled or cold pressed, no additives or unnecessary ingredients, lab tested and a long expiration date. This is made in Canada, so I feel better about that than another product made in China. The carvacrol in this supplement is the highest I’ve taken. It is super potent. You can take two drops under your tongue or put them in 30 ml of water, juice or another liquid. I have never been good at putting drops under my tongue since I can’t see what I’m doing and don’t always feel each drop. I did try it and expected a burn. It didn’t burn, but it is very strong tasting! The taste will stay with you for a long time, as with any liquid oregano oil.I usually put the oil in water because I can’t think of any other liquid that wouldn’t taste even more awful with the drops. I swish the water around, drink some, swish some more and repeat until it’s gone. I do this because the oil ends up at the bottom and on the sides. So, when I finish, I add a bit more water, swish to get what is left and drink it. I don’t want any wasted.Regarding dosage, you can take 2 drops up to 10 times daily. However, it says to take it with food. That’s a lot of snacks if you want to do it more than a few times a day. Additionally, you have to take it a few hours before or after taking any supplements containing iron, zinc, calcium or copper, so a conscious effort needs to be made to do that. All vitamins contain at least one of these, and usually all four.I have to store my bottles of oil of oregano in a zippered bag or plastic or glass container because the smell is overwhelming. How it escapes through the bottle it comes in is beyond me. After you use it, the smell will linger in the house for quite a while. I have to use a room freshener sometimes to get rid of it.This is a very powerful and potent oil of oregano. The quality is excellent. I’m glad I have the chance to see what results I get with minutiflorum compared to my usual vulgare variety.

High quality and food grade
High quality oregano oil. We use this in our diffusers. My son is particularly fond of the scent. I usually only use it when I have something respiratory. This particular brand is expensive. You can find it cheaper but this one is food grade and a better quality which is GREAT. It's also non-GMO - but it doesn't appear to be organic. :/Most high quality essential oils are expensive. And a little goes a long way. And a bottle usually lasts a very long time as well.I recommend!

Has the proper Oil of Oregano taste, but a bit stronger than the market leader.
Supplements are hard to review. They either work or they don't. If they make a big difference either positive or negative, you can give a good review (positive or negative). If they don't make a noticeable difference or do nothing it's harder to review such product. This supplement is the latter type. It's not going to make a huge noticeable difference. In my experience, Oil of Oregano (OoO) supplements don't make a huge, noticeable difference. What I can say though is that if and when I feel I have a sore throat coming on, a few drops of (OoO) under the tongue and held there for a minute of two, followed by swallowing, and the sore throat seems to not materialize. That feeling of a sore throat coming on just goes away.I've been using one particular brand of (OoO) for many years now. It's a major brand of this product sold in North America. It's strong but the the flavor is not too overpowering. I've also tried other brands but didn't feel as though they were quite as strong due to the taste/flavor (I know that's not a scientific way to test). This particular New Roots brand has a flavor/taste profile that is a bit stronger than my all time favorite. Like the best oils it is steam distilled without the use of any chemicals. New Roots states that their oil is sourced from an oregano species that has the highest carvacrol concentration, with carvacrol being the active ingredient in (OoO) that gives you all of this product's benefits.I guess the only way that I will be able to give this product the ultimate review would be for me to take it the next time I have a sore throat coming on. I'll revisit this review if and when that next happens. For now, I am giving this product 5 stars.

Good drops
I have used oil of oregano drops and also taken in softgel form for years. I use the drops topically and also take orally. There is no doubt in mind that these do contain Oregano, both thesmell and taste are pretty strong indicators. I have ordered Oregano drops in the past that were labeled as such but didn't even smell or taste of Oregano and I was left wondering what was actually in them, not the case here. When I use the drops in water, I don't really taste them that much, I have also used them straight in my mouth in attempt to kill bad bacteria, they can be a bit strong when using directly. They work well for what I use them for.
