Analysis Paralysis
Okay I did a lot of research on a new air fryer as our old ninja foodi air fryer/grill/bake died after 5 years of everyday use. I would say that we got our moneys worth on the last unit and I appreciate the shark/ninja brand as we own a ninja coffee bar and a shark robot vacuum.I have analysis paralysis as I research things to death. Let’s get right into it.I read that the oven handle was in the way of the oven opening and it almost swayed me from making a purchase as I wanted to keep it in the corner of our kitchen. The door opens fine with maybe loosing an inch of clearance but you are still able to open the door and get things from the bottom compartment perfectly fine.Next read reviews that the machine was way too loud. I’m guessing those people do not have two wild boys of 10 and 8 running around. The machine is perfectly fine. Yes it isn’t a Tesla but it is quiet compared to my old ninja foodi.I read reviews of the machine sliding across counters. I admit as soon as I opened it out of the box and put it on the counter it slid. I was like oh no. But after multiple uses it hasn’t slid once. It is sticking to the counter. I have a composite countertop so maybe it’s different than people with quartz.Next I read about the heat clearance from the machine to the cabinets. Valid concerns as I went and bought a cutting board made for the top. Not ninja brand just Amazon brand. Works great. Ran the machine for 30 minutes and the top of the cutting board was still cool to the touch.Having two compartments for cooking is a game changer for family cooking and prep. Again I see myself using this everyday for as long as it works, and so far it will improve my everyday life. Quicker meals, less clean up. Anyone who has a family and cooks a meal can understand how the kitchen can go from spotless to tore up with one meal. We are a family that cooks a lot. I also have a traeger smoker and am always running that but we are in Ohio and right now it is 0 degrees. I will grill in the winter but not when it gets this cold.Anyway great product so far and look forward to spending more time with the fam. I also bought the unit with the meat thermometer as my traeger has it and it’s a game changer. Only thing it doesn’t have is WiFi cooking like my traeger. Maybe on the next models. Anyway great product ninja!

Amazing!
We replaced our RV propane “oven” with this guy. Used it this weekend, it works amazingly. Easy to set temp and time, easy to place food in and remove, efficient heating and cooking… so amazing i figure we will switch from using a regular oven in our kitchen to this. It seemed to get our food done faster(and i have a convection oven in my house kitchen) and the foods we made came out correctly moist and flavorful. So worth the money. I hope it lasts a long time. At least two years. I cant wait to try out more items in both ovens. So fat we have made cinnamon rolls, roasted seasoned baby potatoes, salmon, and pizza. My husband used it to re-heat as well and he was impressed.

The best all in one toaster oven you can find!
To start, I am a toaster oven advocate. Not enough people know about toaster ovens and are using their full ovens to cook something small. This is a waste of time and energy. I believe that unless you're normally cooking things in big batches, you don't even need an oven. A toaster oven like this does everything you could possible need. I'm also a firm believer that he who buys cheap buys twice. That's why when I was upgrading from the old Cuisinart toaster oven I had had for 10 years, I sought a toaster oven that could do it all and replace as many appliances as possible. The ninja double stack XL 12-in-1 was what I settled on. I haven't tested every mode of this machine yet, but so far, nothing has disappointment me. I don't need a separate toaster, air fryer, or dehydrator and the bake/roast options heat much faster than the big oven. Learning how to use top and bottom ovens at once was not the easiest to figure out, so I keep the manual handy for when I can't figure something out. This learning curve doesn't upset me, because the machine would be simpler to use if it was just that- simple. But this appliance can do way more than a simple toaster oven, so patience is worth it. A feature I love is the smart detect thermometer. With this there is no constantly opening the oven and using a meat thermometer to check if the food is done, and I don't overcook meat anymore. The whole thing is easy to clean, has a great manual with suggestions for meals, and even though its pretty big, because it replaces so many other appliances, it ultimately saves space in the kitchen. I think this appliance is a great value for its price, especially if you can get it on sale, and I'd recommend it!

Nice, but it could have been just a little bigger.
Good news first. This is a nice oven, chock full of features. The basic controls are pretty simple - cook mode, cook time, temp & go.The double oven feature is really nice when you are just doing just toast or pizza.Everything seems to cook faster.Does not heat up the kitchen much. The not so good news.Non-standard size oven cavities.Depth and Width limits for both ovens are 12.5" and the actual practical size is 11"x11"The maximum height clearance is 2.5" for the top oven and 5" (or 2+2.25) for the bottom. My 9x11 pans would only fit one at a time b/c they are an inch "too tall" and the 9x13 cookie sheet won't fit at all.Forget the 12" pizza pans b/c they are actually 13", and the 9x11 cookie sheets with grip handles. The footprint of this oven is smaller than my vintage microwave. They could have added 3" to all dimensions and it would still fit with plenty of clearance on an average counter and standard size pans would fit as they should and probably won't need any more power.Maybe they will release the XXL that uses standard size pans some day ?Luckily, I can still bake 2 loaves of bread at the same time.A few minor annoyance:The blower/fan on the right side of the cavity causing things to cook faster on one side.A piece of foil and pan rotation can fix that but it's still an inconvenience. The vibration from the fan causes a lightly loaded pan to walk around and ended up in one corner of the oven.Huh? What's with that ?Non-latching grate pulls out along with the tray, sometime. No mechanism to prevent the grates from coming all the way out unintentionally - very annoying when trying to access large trays by pulling the grate out part way and then the grate falls off when you pull on the tray.BTW, you will need one or two of those (metal) pot grabber thingies to deal with the pan b/c it's impossible to access the sides of the pan to lift it out.Only one crumb tray was provided, the bottom oven could use one as well b/c stuff drips from the air fryer basket.YMWV

My husband absolutely loves this ninja oven
My husband is the chef in our family. I am the one who make sure that the chef's kitchen is sufficiently stocked. We've had an old toaster oven in an old toaster that I really wanted to get rid of. So I did some research and found that this ninja duel oven would easily replace both appliances. That was score number 1. But what really made me pick this particular oven is that when my husband cooks dinner, and he used our old toaster oven, and protein in the vegetables were never finished at the same time. He would cook them separately so when we ate dinner one of those items would always be cold. The fact that this oven has two completely separate areas that can do two completely different types of cooking simultaneously is a game changer. We have yet to use the sync function where it make sure that both ovens finish cooking at the same time.As for me, I basically use the top oven as my toaster. And I've gotta say this thing makes the best toast or toasted anything that I've ever had. I can't wait to try its other functions. It can air fry? It can act as a dehydrator? What an amazing appliance to replace a toaster, toaster oven, air fryer and dehydrator. Wow! Good job ninja! Highly recommend.

Best yet Countertop Oven and Air Fryer
We've had other countertop oven/air fryers and used them daily. This Ninja double oven is by far the best. Having two ovens in one is remarkably efficient and makes meal production faster and easier. You can do steak in one, fries in the other, or a meal for adults in one, and different items for the kids in the other, or an entree in one and a dessert in the other. This appliance is well built, well thought out, and the learning curve on the controls is short.... but it's there, especially regarding use of the thermometer. The internal food temperature thermometer is a big plus when you correctly use it. We are thrilled with this double oven and have fun using it every day. Only downsides are it's a bit noisy (a minor issue), a bit larger than traditional toaster ovens, and the large sheet pans and air fryer basket are supposed to be washed by hand, so cleanup is a bit of a chore. All in all, however, we would buy this again in a minute!

Works great!
Love the air fryer/oven combination. I've use this for baking cookies, brownies, frozen pizzas and lasagna and it works great! It's a more convenient and energy efficient option than hearing my larger oven when baking or air frying an appetizer or baking a batch of cookies.

Preheat temperature is way off and fan is noisy after cooking
I do not recommend this oven. Had a Breville toaster oven for years and wanted an air fryer but no space on the counter for another machine. This combo oven and air fryer seemed like a good solution. It is not.Set the temo to 400, turn on oven to preheat. Oven says preheat complete, so in goes the food. The result after the proscribed time was undercooked. Decided to check the oven temp with an oven thermometer. When the preheat cycle ended and timer started to count down, the temperature was 250, a long way from 400. After another 5 minutes, it hits 400. So now I understand why my food wasn’t cooked properly. This shows a major flaw in the design of the oven. I can work around this issue but shouldn’t have to.Now once my food is finished and we sit down to dinner, the oven’s fan continues to run to cool the oven. Logically this makes sense, but the result is we have to listen to a noisy fan throughout most of our meal. Not what I really want to hear while trying to enjoy my meal.Given these issues I do not recommend this oven. Don’t know if I can return it as it has been used and I don’t have the box. Save yourself a lot of trouble and skip this oven.
