JUNK. Had the same slow action others mentioned out of the box, that slowly got better, by month 2 it’s completely failed. Chinese garbage.

Works great
Worked great on my 08 tundra. Fairly simple install, just takeoff the tailgate and remove the two bolts for the back left light. Pop off the old and put on the new and put everything back.

Did not fit 2010 Tundra.
Did not fit my 2010 Toyota Tundra. Replacement was about 4” longer than the original and could not be compressed enough after several failed attempts with ratchet strap.

trash
2 minute install on my 2014 Tundra, but quality is trash.... tailgate doesn't go down smoothly or slowly and definitely no assistance going up! wasted my 4 minutes!

PART FIT PERFECTLY!
The part fit perfect and took 12 minutes to replace. this was for a 2017 Toyota Tundra

Kinda works
It's definitely not as good as the original Toyota shock. If you open it and let it drop is will bounce with no shock. If you help it down it kinda helps. I would not buy again.
