I have heard of DOSS but never used one of there products but I have always heard goof things so I was keen to try this soundbox out, The soundbox has a built in battery that lasts upto 35 hours and I can say it has to be in that region before I had to recharge it, The unit can play music via a Micro SD slot/aux/ Bluetooth and USB-C , Personally I connected it to my alexa with no problems at all and whenever I turned it on it connected pretty much instantly and stayed connected for long periods without any drop outs at all, The audio is crystal clear and very well balanced,The bamboo front looks really nice and the unit does have a nice quality look and feel to it, I can safely say it has found a permanent home in my summerhouse.

...and it isn't worth paying any more for in my humble opinion.Let's be honest, this DOSS home speaker is aimed at consumers who want a very nice looking and fairly good sounding unit with several media options, some of which you might not ever use. It also claims to be made from sustainable materials....probably partly true for the case.1... Bluetooth. It connects very well it seems, no problem with my music player or tablet. The sound quality over Bluetooth is as you would expect, not as good as a physical cable connection.2... 3.5mm jack connection. A much better, brighter and louder sound immediately and my preferred connection.3... The SD card slot and the USB flash drive socket. I haven't tried them but it's obvious that they offer the usual tedious and blind music navigation via the familiar transit buttons. If you like playing music that way I expect you will be content here.4... Coaxial input. Again I haven't tried it and probably never will but I imagine that it works very well too.Summary. For the £100 I paid I have no gripes. You get two 3 1/2" woofers, 2 3/4" tweeters and a passive "radiator" ...hmm, bass response thing. We don't buy these little things for bass but any of it is a bonus.The mid and top range sound pretty good and the bass, while present, is set back but at least there is some.Quite clever for a little speaker.....you could always use an equaliser on your device but I don't.Also, how good it sounds will depend on where you put it, the type and shape of room it's in and how loud you play it. It sounds better at low and medium levels but of course the choice is up to any individual how they want to use it.The build quality is solid , it looks and feels very good. I REALLY LIKE THAT THERE IS A PROPER VOLUME KNOB !!There are combinations of buttons too for various functions so it's a good idea to keep the instructions somewhere for reference.I like it and am certain that I will use it often. Thumbs up.

This is a brilliant speaker. It gets surprisingly loud considering its size and while I'm no audiophile, it sounds fantastic. I love the design of it. It's classy and stylish and could easily have a permanent place in the home. Bluetooth connectivity is solid with no drops and connection is simple. A great portable speaker.
