A bunch of old folks in my family now so this helps us understand what the doctor is talking about. I've lived long enough to know electricity and internet may not always be there. Critical info should be on a shelf. You know what I mean...

I like having this on hand. Many do not realize that the internet is not forever. But a printed copy of a book is.It has a lot of good information, but giving it a 3star because we looked up mastitis when we got it in the mail, and im suprised how little information that specific topic had.

I bought this book as a gift and that person absolutely loves it - just what he wanted. A must have book. Delivery and packaging was great. Thank you.

Navigating a huge reference book requires a quick but simple search function. Frankly, the word search runs painfully slow so when I tried it, I was disappointed. Trying the table of contents however led to a pleasant surprise - an almost instantaneous result. I'd purchased a Merck Manual in paperback some years back and was pleasantly surprised it had been updated and was much bigger. With an e-book, updates should be no big deal and I'm hoping that updates would be offered to book owners from time to time.

I borrowed from Library then decided I needed this book. Glad I bought it!

Cover was a bit rougher than I anticipated. Had no highlighting or writing.

This a excellent reference book for many of the ailments, infections, and diseases that afflict the human body, and it is written for the lay person.

I have not used this item as much as i thought i would. It is very easy to understand.. If you do not have the money to buy this bigger version, I might suggest the smaller trade version.

easy to read and understand. merck manuals are used by many health professionals. highly recommended.

Brilliant manual

This is a most comprehensive reference book, which anyone interested in their own health should have on hand. It is well laid out, has a good index, and is written in plain language. Highly recommended.
