Decent design, not a huge fan of the plastic
We have a need to drill a LOT of pen blanks as part of a new business venture so I figured I'd give this a shot over the home made one we had on the drill press.It does a pretty good job of getting things centered and it's super easy to set up. Just close the drill bit into the jaws before you clamp it down and you'll be pretty much dead center. On our big Jet drill press I couldn't get this clamped down without fastening it to a board first.... they've got the proper holes already there so I just grabbed some 1.25" screws and screwed it to a board that I then clamped to the table.Other than the plastic bits, I think I'd prefer a clamp vs the rotary screw. A bit of work having to wind it back and forth as we work through the blanks.
