Book of Satanic Magic

Aleister Nacht's Book of Satanic Magic is a good overview of theistic Satanism from the point of view of devotional magick.Part i has the belief outline and presuppositions of both his system of devotional Satanism and the outlines of the magickal practice explained in great detail. The tone is almost Catholic, which is a curious thing i have noticed with theistic Satanist. I sometimes wonder if theistic Satanism is actually a sort of Vama Marga Catholicism of sexual yoga in contrast to the Vatican's Dakshina Marga asexual devotion, because of the tone of worship. But i digress...Part ii has the tools and rites of Satanic magick outlined. Experienced readers will recognize these rites from the written works of Lavey, Susej, Jantsang, Robury, Myatt/ONA, and other sources. One may either have a response of 'been there done that' or one may instead look at this as being a one-stop shop of the best parts of other books and articles in one convenient place.This book suits newcomers. For a newcomer, Nacht has saved you many months of time in putting this information directly in one place; you would do very well to simply practice what is already here. If you are especially keen to start and want to skip even the slim introductions, Part ii is waiting for you. Many magic guides discourage beginners from jumping in with both feet but this book does the opposite. For the impatient, finally there is a grammar that will let you get on with the ritual and not bore you to tears with longwinded mystical claptrap. For that benefit alone i have to add an extra star to my rating.Truth be told, if you have no intention of practicing Satanic Magic, you will be disappointed here. This is a DOER'S manual, it is not entertainment reading. The one who will get the most value from this book is the eager Satanic newcomer who's ready to begin NOW - and possibly the Satanic beginner/intermediate who got lost along the way and wants to get out of theory and back into practice. Know-it-alls, doubters of every kind, armchair students, xian/kabbalist/wiccan, and nonbelievers: do yourself a favor and move on. There is nothing here for you.My personal rating of the degree of effectiveness in reading Satanic lit is the temperature change while reading the material. Whenever i do any paranormal work spiritual forces announce themselves to me with a slight temperature change. I felt one while reading this book which lets me know it has spiritual power for those who actually follow the instructions. From me to you imo, this book is legit. But ymmv so i will leave it up to you to decide.Overall, i like it and give it 4 stars.

I can Honestly say.That I have been a THESTIC SATANIST/DEMONOLATOR/SPIRITUAL SATANIST/DEVIL WORSHIPPER.! For many years and I will say this this MALE/FEMALE. Has done a Great Job on this Book.I have also Got His BOO OF SATANIC RITUALS.And I will say that It is very Good For the People Who are New Or Have been on the LEFT HAND PATH,THESTIC SATANIST,For Many years.He has Done His Best as FATHER SATAN & HIS DEAMONS/DEAMONESS HAS LED HIM TO.I am Proud to have these Two Great Books.And the have and are Helping me to Get as CLOSE as I can To All Of the DEMONIC/AVE SATANAS/AVE LUCIIFERI/AVE BELIAL/AVE LEVIATHAN/AVE QUEEN LILITH/AVE KING ASMODEUS///

Not very well laid out, littered with misspellings and bad grammar, terribly repetitive, runs on the assumption you have a lot of prior knowledge of the Dark Arts, and the biggest downfall is that there is no glossary of important words used throughout the book to refer back to.This could have been a stellar book on Satanic magic, but the author and the publisher were obviously not accomplished either writers, editors or publishers.

Nice book however he should have had someone SPELLCHECK as there are more grammatical errors than an 8 grader. If your writing a book and want to be taken seriously, especially one about the DarkLord. That a side i like how he thinks.

In much Satanic and Left-Hand path literature, I find (as with most metaphysical writings) a regurgitation of many prior teachings already published. I am sure that much of the techniques are effective (to a certain point) as I have tried them before. His form of Theistic Satanism is based on some Laveyan principles, which is fine, but for me is disappointing because I've been down this road before. For the record, anything based on the COS, just reminds me of how disappointed I am in their organization. Make no mistake, many-many LHP authors are guilty of this. He also includes invocations that were published in the Demonic Bible.On the other hand I always highly appreciate finding systems that have already filtered out prior teachings down to the basic fundamentals. For this reason it is an ok read.I doubt you'll learn anything knew here.To be honest the book is ok accept for the formatting in the Kindle addition.Is it too much to ask for spaces in between my words?VERY FRUSTRATING!

the first half was totally awesome!! and the author really has a friendly tone to this book, sort of like hes having a conversation with you which is the best part! but the only thing that bug me was the second half of the book, you pretty much need to perform in a group as oppose to just you :( but I suppose you can modify it so evens out.

A good book for today's Satanist. Aleister Nacht brings his expertise in Satanic Magic to the public and writes in an easy to understand style. His book brings food for thought & action for anyone either learning or considering the Satanic Arts of Magic. I'm looking forward to his future literary work with anticipation :)
