A very nice piece of leather! It came with a few scratches, but that did not bother me. It scratches very easily, so if that bothers you, you may want to look elsewhere. I did not expect striations, but I love that my piece has them! It came with nice straight edges, so there was no waste when cutting. It comes rolled up, so I had to roll it the opposite direction for a day or so to get it to lay flat. It did not have any strong or unpleasant odor. Just a very light leather smell.I was able to craft a very nice, simple traveler's notebook from it. I would buy this again.

changed rating to 5 stars. when unpacked leather smells badly, irritating. i hung it for 2 days and it is ok now. leather is pretty soft but strong, color is deep.

the leather is a 100% genuine. i bought the dark blue and honestly im really happy w how it looks. the pictures make it look green but it isnt. real easy to work with and also the perfect thickness. i hope it ages nice. i made a journal for my boyfriend and i liked the leather so much i bought the green for myself, gonna post a review on that too.

Nice pliable leather. I used it to make some soft jaws for a couple of woodworking vices and it worked out very well. Didn't matter for my application, but I didn't notice any flaws in the leather either. I was pleased with my purchase and would buy it again.

Beautiful dye quality and great texture and thickness. However, it seems I was sent either a Dark brown or a chocolate brown instead of the medium brown I ordered. It will not work for my needs. I am returning and reordering and hopefully receive the correct color.
