The AvP Hyperion EV33 is a stylish and affordable cube case which totally reinvents the computer case with its innovative dual compartment design. The top section will house the motherboard, while your PSU, HDD and Optical Drive will live in the bottom section. This design allows for excellent cable management and will also help keep the top section free of clutter to help with airflow. The Hyperion supports long VGA cards (up to 30cm) and CPU coolers up to 12cm. There is also space for additional cooling with room for a 90mm rear fan, 120mm fan at the side, one 80mm and two 120mm fans at the front. Its compact shape will allow it to fit neatly on a shelf under or near your TV which makes this attractive and excellent quality case an affordable option for housing a media PC. Might want to spend a bit extra...
Looks quite nifty, which is why I chose it. The shape was the main factor in the purchase.Nonetheless, fitting components into the case could be easier. Had to find PSU cable extenders, but was lucky that the PSU used had a rear fan as a side fan would have been questionable in it's suitability. At the same time, the fan port behind the HDD cage was near impossible to fit anything into as the HDD cage could not be removed. Could have done with an extra motherboard riser screw. The side ports for fans will only fit a slim case fan on the HDD/PSU side and even that would likely to be a rather close fit. There was a visible raised edge on the top of the case where the central case partition has been badly fitted. This spoils the look a bit.

Nice case, though too many vent holes. Bit short on fittings.
Nice looking case, although I'd prefer not to have the vent grilles in the side panels, they're a bit superfluous and not so pretty. They're especially pointless on the drive bay side. Two sections - board and drives. Easy to fit out, good selection of holes for pushing cables through between sections. Drive mounting for 2.5/3.5in is a bit fiddly - one slides in on rails easily but the top one has to be held up and bolted into the cage using the holes on the bottom of the drive - watch out, not all 2.5-to-3.5 convertors have them.Short on bolts, you'll need some spares for cards and drives! Minimal info - one tiny piece of paper with the front panel connector pinout is the sum and total.

This case is reasonably well made on first inspection but I have not yet installed the motherboard as it has not yet arrived. It does have the advantage of a 2.5" drive mount so a SSD will slot straight in without any adaptor or screws required. The cables from the power supply need to be fed through slots in a plate that separates the case internally, through to attach to the MB on the other side. This may prove a bit fiddly for some. A major headache for me though is that it was supplied with NO external power lead (kettle type) so I will have to dig one out from somewhere.

Nice case, but buy your own PSU.
I bought this and at first it seemed to be exactly what I wanted. The only problem is the PSU. I didn't have enough SATA cables for my needs. I suppose that's my fault and should have checked, but be aware if you're buying. The other problem with the PSU is that if you use your PC for too long, it starts to resemble a Boeing taking off. I mean, I had to turn videos up just to hear them on youtube. After a while, it will sometimes just trip and the system power just cuts out. Not funny if you're half way through your dissertation.

Pleasantly surprised
I purchased this case for my work machine as I already have a gaming machine but needed a separate small case so they both fit underneath my desk. I've built a lot of systems over the years and I wasn't really expecting much from this case but I was very pleasantly surprised. There are no nasty sharp edges like you can get in cheaper cases and the dual compartment design is fab. I only have a one 2.5in SSD and this fits very neatly in the quick release enclosure above where the PSU is located. I don't have a CDROM so I have neatly bundled all the cables in the CDROM compartment leaving a very neat area where you put the motherboard and graphics card. The case is all white even though it looks like it's got a silver fascia in the photos. The fascia is plastic and the rest is metal but it looks ok

not a bad cube but hard disk/dvd bay are wrong placed
not a bad cube but hard disk/dvd bay are wrong placed. you need to remove the powers source to have access. bonus, one of the slots has the holes for the screws at the bottom, with no access to them.
