I bought this "bug zapper" to keep the moths, flying beetles, and tons of other insects that were attracted to my bay of windows and glass doors on my back porch attracted by the flashing TV and living space lights. I live deep in the woods. I have two cats that always want in the back doors (deck) at night and as soon as I open the door, so many insects get into the house. I am absolutely amazed how well this works. I put this on my deck railing top. I put it in mode II (meaning it turns on and off on its own and charges via solar during the day). You can plug it in (USB) but I only did that day one to make sure it was working, otherwise it does its thing day in and day out. Cleaning: Where I live, this unit kills so many flying insects, I clean it every two or three days. The only reason I do it so often is because the "grid" gets filled with dead insects. If anyone has stress tested this unit, that is me. What is so nice is you set the unit on its side and apply a light spray of water from a hose. Flip it over and do the other side and that is it. All of them come out. The directions say wait 5 minutes before turning back on to let the water drip off the bulbs and electric "grid" but I do it in the morning and let it dry while charging during the day. I have started it wet however there was a short period of time that the "grid" cracked and snapped for a few minutes. No harm, no foul, but I think that just puts unneeded use of the unit. So here is the interesting thing about on/off cycle. I live in Virginia. At this time of year, and three weeks ago that I deployed this unit, it would turn itself on around 8:00 pm. Now, three weeks later, it turns itself on around 8:15 as it stays light later. Highly accurate time "to-on". I am an early riser and the unit is still on until roughly 5:00 am. Then it recharges itself. I read so many of the reviews out there. There are some that had a unit that failed early. It happens. I hope my unit continues, it has only been three weeks. However, assuming it lasts at least a year, I would buy another.

bought this to combat the south Florida mosquito's . so far i can say i've noticed a drop in interactions. It maintains a charge all night even when somehting gets stuck in zap mode. it worked so well I I gifted it to tw family memebers.

The product stopped functioning properly shortly after being used. Now, as long as the power plug is not connected, it won't start. It seems that the battery can no longer store any charge. This is really terrible!

Works extremely well!! Very happy! Kills a lot of bugs and stays on for many hours. I wake up after midnight and it’s still on and zapping bugs. Highly recommend.

This zapper is easy to assemble, easy to install in the ground and built very well. Its very easy to clean I use my hand blower to blow the dead bugs out of the screen. Andmost of all Iam able to enjoy setting outside in the evening and drink my coffee on deck in the morning without worrying about getting bitten by bugs.

I was actually amazed of how fast and effective this solar bug zapper actually performed before I installed it and pushed it into the dirt. It was zapping bugs that I couldn’t see already so I have to save from what I experienced. I’m satisfied with this product built sturdy is it to work? Is it a clean?

Easy to put together and works well. I was worried it wouldn't charge well with solar charger but it works better than I ever expected. Only con is that the grid spacing is a bit wide for small bugs like mosquitos but it does get them.

Fits as expected. Works. Would definitely buy again, but since I got 8, I think I won't have to for a while. REcommend.

Works great. Bugs zapping like crazy. Only issue is the only instructions that came with the item was in a foreign language.
