Pros:Impressed with this piece of rustic pine shelving. It really looks nice and gives that handmade look I was after inside my house.I've put this in my living room above my television in an alcove. It's perfect for putting decorative things on and really fits my decor perfectly.Although designed to look a bit fragile, this is actually an amazingly robust shelf. I've tried it out with everything from lighter decor to much heavier items, and it keeps everything just fine in place.Assembly of the shelf was rather easy. The wall-mounted design made putting it up pretty easily, and the hardware provided was similarly manageable. It stays put without incident.Verdict:Very pleased with this rustic wooden shelf: a great little addition that fits perfectly in the alcove above my TV. In all, a very nice addition to my decor.

I got the 50cm shelf and am very pleased with it, although I haven't yet found the time to put it up!The shelf itself is made from solid wood and has been finished very smoothy and to a high standard, so whilst it does look 'rustic', it doesn't look shoddy or cheap.The shelf sits on two metal brackets, and these are sturdy and look capable of sustaining a significant amount of weight, so you're limited by your fixings and the wall itself rather than the shelf.Standard fittings are supplied, but I will be using sturdier fittings because I like to know that a shelf will stay up!Can't fault this and I'd say that the price represents fair value for money given the quality of the product. You will probably find cheaper, but none I think for this quality.

I love natural wood and it's always stronger than chipboard so I love this shelf. It's really lovely wood and the brackets make ift very sturdy. It matches with the butcher-block counter tops in my kitchen perfectly, which is where I've installed it.The wood is thick, and well finished with smooth corners, and I love the way the brackets have a lip on the front to keep it in place. The fixings (rawlplugs/screws) provided are good quality and make it easy to put up. Solid wood is always more expensive than cheap chipboard but it's much stronger, longer lasting and better looking so I think it's absolutely worth the extra money. It holds plenty of weight and is easy to wipe clean, so it's perfect for the kitchen.Overall I think this is a fantastic shelf, it's very high quality and looks gorgeous. I'd definitely recommend it. 5*

This chunky shelf comes from MKGT.The shelf is made from solid timber and this is reflected in its weight although it does look amazing with the wood grain visible through out it on both sides.Accompanied with the shelf are 2 heavy iron brackets to hold the shelf on the wall from underneath.This shelf is available in many sizes from 40cm all the way up to 1 Metre.When mounting the shelf on the wall care must be taken due to the weight of the timber shelf and accompanied iron brackets as you will require decent raw plugs and screws. Both are accompanied with the shelf although if mounting on plaster board I used metal screw in raw plugs that are very secure.When the shelf has been mounted it looks incredibly solid and makes a centre piece of any living room or other room in the house for putting items on.The only issue I had was I thought the instruction sheet was basic and not very intuitive. For those that do not put shelves up very often I think there should have been some informative information with each of the steps rather than a confusing image.Overall this is a beautiful solid timber shelf that will look brilliant in any home and is well made.
