We recently had a power cut after energy provider maintenance had gone awry in our street and this fantastic device helped tide us over until it was fixed.This happened on a work from home day whilst my two children were with me. I was able to get the broadband router powered by plugging it into this which immediately revived their YouTube shows.I was also able to use the work laptop to continue my work so I wasn't really disrupted by the power outage at all!Now this would be useless if it wasn't charged so that should be the first port of call when receiving it and then storing it somewhere easy to find/access.The quality is fantastic, I really can't fault this whatsoever.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this backup battery specifically for my Virgin Hub 5 router, and I’ve been impressed with its performance. It’s compact yet has a good capacity, providing hours of connectivity during power outages. The package includes a power adapter, although the power cable could be a bit longer. This is a fantastic backup battery. I have this hooked up to our router and I've tested turning it off which tends to happen due to faulty cable and it kicks in instantly and produces hours of power to give me time to fix the problem. The LED indicators are handy to see the current status and a rough estimate of the battery percentage of this battery. I see this as being very useful for security cameras.

At home, I have a Ubiquiti setup. My home router doubles as a DVR for our security cameras and it also runs our front doorbell via POE, so when the power goes out, we lose all security in our house. However this is now a thing of the past.The unit itself is quite small and compact, perfect for hiding away. The unit supports a few different voltages which is good as my Ubiquiti Dream Router is quite hungry and this has been able to support it with no issues. The cameras are attached into this router via POE and this has continued to work as normal. This has been a major security concern of mine as when blackouts happen, we are left with no security system or recordings if there were anything to happen. Now, all of our belongings continue to be protected. The capacity of 20000mAh is quite impressive for such a small piece of kit. The LED's across the top are also great indicators for us, we have already had two blackouts since this was installed and the first was only a short one and we didn't lose the 100% light, however the second one was for multiple hours. This dropped down to the 50% mark but we continued to have functioning internet and security.The unit comes with some mall mount holes on the back so that you can wall mount if you want to be extra descrete or you can sit it on the preinstalled case feet. The unit supports four outputs, which is great to see supporting all the different power types as well as USB for powering network attached storage you might have attached to the router and USB-C for those newer devices or even phones if you need to top them up.As someone who is in to tech and does it for a job, I can tell you how good a UPS is. There is a certain amount of power filtering which goes on. I have found home machines run better on a UPS but the key benefit is giving you extra time to continue doing what you are doing or just giving you time to safely shut things down. Sudden power outages can do wierd and wonderful things to tech products and being able to safely shut them down can save hours of reconfiguring or even saving tech from death.Overall, this is a great product. It has saved us twice already and I am sure it will continue to do this as time goes on. It pays for itself in time saved and hair not pulled out. 5/5!
