Super cool. Must have item
Awhile ago I saw the great Thomas Lang (aka the human drum machine/terminator) had these all over his drum setup. For me personally, in the 40 + yrs I've been drumming, the sliding issue is almost always related to the kick drum and hi-hat stand. This is honestly not so much a problem anymore because of the new designs. I've also never had floor tom's sliding but then again I've never done a John Bonham impression on my kit after chugging a 12 pack ! :-D So I got this for those times when I may need it for the kick drum or hi-hat, never know when you got to setup on some marble tile or Parque type floor's ha ha ha. In a jiffy, these are easy to carry/store in your drum kit bag and boy do THEY WORK ! Yay. Highly recommend. Thanks Amazon

Stop chasing your bass drum!
This is brilliant! For years I've felt like I was working on an old-fashioned typewriter when I drum. Years of drum, drum, drum, grab bass drum and pull, drum, drum, grab bass drum, repeat. These little horseshoe-like pieces actually keep the drum locked in place on even a basic rug. You just need a fabric that will respond to the velcro-like material on the bottom of the pieces. Simple, affordable, brilliant. Every drummer needs these!

Cool idea, and works!
I use an Aucuda drum mat, and rarely have drum or stand "creep" due to the spikes on most of my drums and stands. However, I have a couple of cymbal stands that move over time during a gig, and though I was skeptical, these worked perfectly to keep them in place. I only needed one strategically placed "hoof" behind a leg of each stand, and they gripped solidly to the drum rug with the attached Velcro. This one hoof is enough to keep a creeping stand in place, and since I have two of them, a pair worked out great. Now, if you use a different kind of rug (or no rug), these may not stay in place very well, they need a material that has some loop to it for the Velcro hook to attach to. I also think the price of 25 bucks (at the time of this review) is a little steep for what these are, but they are unique, and they work, so you'll have to decide if the price is worthwhile.

Good as place holders. Your mileage may vary.
I ordered these to try them out, mostly as place holders vs. keeping things in place. In that respect they work just fine if you secure them somewhat permanently to your mat or carpet. However, I feel the use for these is going to be very dependent on your situation. For the average gigging drummer like myself, I think the value proposition is a little tougher.I say this because 1.) I haven't had a bass drum creep or other hardware fail to stay in place once set up, and 2.) it impacts your portability if you need a quick and easy to pack setup. Using a standard 4x4 Drumfire mat (which these items to not work with), everything stays in place with standard spurs, and tape or ink markings can help you remember where things should go. I've used this for hundreds of gigs using a standard 4 piece kit, 3 cymbals and hi-hat without issue. So, to use these hooves I would need a different kind of mat (larger and bulkier) that would be even heavier and bulkier, once these were added. While it would work just fine, there just not enough added value make those changes. Basically it would be overkill. That all said, I can see these being a great tool for setups that stay in one place or drummers in a touring situation where the additional weight and portability are not as much of a factor. They do what the advertise and they do it well, but the value they bring might be really dependent on your particular situation.

lifesavers!
This is a genius fix for a problem that has plagued drummers since the dawn of time. Lay down some velcro squares (included) and pop a few of these guys on the ground, and your kit isn't going anywhere. I genuinely want never to drum without them again.

Super Strong No Slip !
I am using these to keep my hi hat in place. My hi hat has two legs and the pedal. I have one of of the hooves keeping each leg stabilized. These drumplates are incredibly grippy on my drum carpet. My hi hat is not going anywhere now!The plates are easy to reposition and when put in place, they stay in place. These anchors look great on my red carpet, and against the black feet of my hi hat legs.I recommend these anchors to keep your drum set from sliding or creeping.

Pricey for plastic but it works
It does what it says that it does. When I see how much they are charging for plastic I have to remind myself that you're paying for innovation and a intellectual property. It's like you're paying for the content of printed music not paper and ink. But it does what it says that it does and if it solves a problem that no other cheaper product can, then it's worth it.

Interesting and effective product
So I got these in order to help prevent my bass drum from sliding on the carpet in my home studio. I was somewhat surprised to find out they work perfectly. They attached via the included Velcro and it's a simple as placing them under your bass drum spurs. They're made well, they do exactly what they're supposed to... At least on my specific rug in my specific bass drum... A 20-in TAMA. They are priced fairly, I have no complaints. Good product.
