Amazon Basics Dog and Cat Water Feeder, Small, 1 Gallons (3.8 liters), Transparent

I purchased two of these back in April to replace the existing (and cheap) ones I bought elsewhere a years ago. And after a few months, I can safely say they have been a great purchase. Large, clear water storage bottle (similar to those we find in office water fountains... just not as big, obviously! ;) ), and a sturdy base to hold said bottle with a good sized bowl for the water to pool into. It's easy to use, just give the whole thing, bottle and base a good wash when you first receive it. Make sure you unscrew the valve/cap that is on the water bottle, and screw it back on when you've filled it up with cold water. It doesn't matter which way you attach the bottle to the base, either by lowering the bottle down on the base/bowl, or by having the bottle upright (the cap/valve upwards) and putting the base/bowl upside down, and by placing it down over the bottle neck. Whichever way you do it, just make sure the bottle seats correctly, you should feel it clunk into place, and the bottle will seat equally all the way round on the base. If it doesn't and looks uneven, you've not clipped it on correctly. Now turning to cost. I bought these two for £12.99 each in April (which is why I've give 5 stars for value for money) and they're now currently at £14.89. I'm sorry, but this is grossly unfair that within a matter of weeks, these have increased by £1.90 each which is a whopping 15% increase. This happens a lot with Amazon, and it's becoming very noticable. If Jeff Bezos (owner and CEO of Amazon) wants to become the world's first Trillionaire (currently Net worth: 166.3 billion USD (2020)), that's a thousand BILLION, then with price increases like this, he will do before very long, BUT not with my help! Start treating your customer with fairness and respect, and stop being so greedy!

Great Water Dispenser , Easy to Fit and do Great Job

This is the second of these water feeders we have bought, and it has proved to be one of the most reliable pet products we own. The first one lasted about two years before it eventually wore out, which I think is good value considering how heavily it was used. The capacity is excellent. Even with a large golden retriever, it holds enough water to last three to four days, which makes it very convenient. The design is straightforward but well thought out. It comes apart easily for cleaning, which has been a big improvement over other feeders we tried in the past that became green and mouldy and were awkward to scrub properly. With this one, keeping it clean is quick and simple. Another strong point is its sturdiness. The tank is solid, reasonably heavy when filled, and doesn’t get knocked over or pushed around, even by a big dog. It’s also easy to see at a glance when the water is running low. Having tried more complex electric gadgets, I’ve found this simple design works far better because there’s nothing to go wrong. Overall, it’s practical, durable, and very effective. I would happily recommend it and will continue to buy the same product in the future.

I bought this for my 4 month old Newfoundland puppy who drinks a lot of water everyday. Before getting this we had to fill her water bowl up ever hour, maybe even less. With this product though, we are now only filling it up once a day. It doesn't collect much dust or much in the dish itself but if it does its easy to clean and dry. I usually don't do product reviews but this one has saved us so much time I think its worth it. We bought this on the 6th of Feb and it is now the 28th, a couple of days ago it broke, the ring that lets the water out got snapped of when our puppy was playing with it when it was empty and broke it. Although it is broken it still works, we are still using it daily, you just need to be a bit more careful when putting the water container into the bowl. I have the small one at the moment but when she is a bit older may get the bigger one, but to be honest I think even the smaller one is okay for a big dog.

This was a really good purchase. I ordered it for an elderly ladies dog who I was looking after when doing live in palliative care. The Elderly lady was worried her old dog would run out of water with his usual metal bowl, so wanted another one as a back up , incase anything happened and I had to go out for some time. And as it was summer months the dog was drinking more than he usually does. This arrived very quickly, was easy to use, it held a good amount of water, and as the level of water drops in the bowl , it allows more to flow through and shuts off at the height it’s made to. There was never no accidents of it over leaking. For a Basic range my client and I was impressed. And the dog never ran out of water 👍 , which helped my client stop worrying 😁. 10/10 problem solved.

This is the second one of these that I have bought, one for my house and one for my parents when they look after our cockapoo. It's really good, it changes filling up his water from a daily to a weekly task which is really convenient The only issue is that we've had green algae grow on the inside which was difficult to clean because you're not supposed to put this type of plastic in the dishwasher, but my partner managed to sort it out with a deep bleach clean! Highly recommended product, even it it makes it look like my cockapoo is going to the office cooler to drink :)

Loved the water bottle (great size for my two rather large breed dogs) — quiet, easy to refill. However, a bit disappointed with how long it lasted since it broke in just under 4 weeks (see photo). I stepped through the reviews and apparently I'm not the only one who has encountered this.

Large capacity, enough for my two cats for a week. Dish refills automatically when cats drink from it. The container is easily removed with a quarter turn and can be cleaned and refilled with ease. No leaks or issues, performs well. Nice white/grey mottled finish. Quiet in use as water simply flows into the dish. Versatile design suitable for a variety of small animals such as cats and dogs.

Fantastic item, I had to complete two different purchases for the quantity I needed. I use these to provide water for the community cats I feed, sturdy water storage, remains strong in the hot days and strong winds.

Great item, well made. Has rubber feet on it so it doesnt move around and works really well.

Easy to use, sturdy built and solves the problem for my kitty who likes a clean supply of water. It's not too hard to wash up either, as it's plastic I clean it with dish soap twice a week. Ideally a steel reservoir would have been more sanitary and healthy for the furbabies. Also, this looks super cute - Kitty's own water dispenser!
