Had to replace timer as it wasn't advancing. Decided to replace this also while at it.Everything now works, so satisfied.

It fixed my dryer. The part I replaced was stressed due to poor maintenance before we purchased this home. I replaced the part and dryer now functions properly.

We ordered this and received it the next day. We installed it and it works great.

Worked, did my research and it paid off.

I am not very mechanical - minded overall, one thing I can do is repair my own dryer. The Dryer Cycling Thermostat is very easy to install and it works. The cost was 1/4 the price that my local preferred parts dealer had, but they were on backorder. L and HD said they had them in stock, but didn't and delivery would take 3 days to 6 weeks! I am glad I bought the BlueStars thermostat.It took more time to remove the back panel of my Whirlpool Dryer than it did to install the thermostat. it looks exactly the same as the original thermostat.One more tip, if you haven't already buy a replacement for the other thermostat and thermal fuse. They usually die around the same time. Replacing them is just as easy as the cycling thermostat and you will save yourself the fun, fun time you will have crawling behind the dryer and the PITA job of rehooking the dryer vent hose.My last dryer lasted 10+ years and I had to replace the 2 thermostats, fuse, and heating coil once. Our dryer runs (total) around 6+ hours a day (minimum). Buying the parts here cost less than the best local price and lasted longer than the original. Had an issue with our older Whirlpool dryer where the dryer would only dry clothes on maximum heat in all settings. Tested with a multimeter and found that the cycling thermostat was not working properly, and was stuck open which causes nothing but the highest heat as it is not limiting the heat being applied to the clothes. Removed old one and installed this new one. Was an exact match to the old one, and tested the dryer in all heat settings. Worked perfect and clothes are now drying again at exact heat settings. Great part and easy fix, hope this thermostat lasts as long as the original.

Although the original dryer thermostat is stamped "120v", this replacement is a perfect fit and it was the same part number listed on original item. Except the new one was marked "240v", which is the same voltage as my Admiral dryer. Didn't seem to matter, probably just rated for the higher voltage. Why a 120vac thermostat would be used on a 220vac dryer, couldn't know for sure.I previously order the whole kit (heating element, thermostat, thermal fuse, etc). I replaced everything in the kit but the only part that didn't fit was the thermostat which did not have the right electrical connections. Which is why I had to order the above thermostat separately after carefully comparing the listed photo for a match.Works fine, drying is back up and doing its job.

Hard to know these things fail normally closed because the dryer has as a backup one at 205F degrees in series that will switch the burner off. I measured the temp of my dryer and found it cutting out at 205F with a thermocouple hanging in it. This thing fixed it.
