Rubies Child's Wizard of Oz Cowardly Lion-Badge of Courage Costume Accessory

I bought it as a gift for someone who LOVES The Wizard of Oz. She liked it.It was a little more clunky looking than I thought, but still cute.

This was perfect upgrade to my grandsons cowardly lion costume

Just a fun little thing, I gave one to a friend going through chemo they liked it

I guess this product is what I expected. It's a cheap toy. Since I am only using it for decorative purposes, that's fine. Some of the paint isn't lined up with the mold, but I was able to correct that. It's not as fancy as some of the other similar products I found, but again, it is only used for decoration. The colors are bright and as pictured. The ribbon comes with a pin on the back, I suppose for wearing with a cowardly lion costume. Nice feature, however I did not use it. I have a feeling it would not hold up to much wear at all. It has been hanging, framed, on my baby's wall for over a year, without any issues. It did not melt when I hot glued it to the frame, so that's a plus! Again, I only used this item for decorative purposes, not as a costume prop or anything else.

Great lion hearted gift…

One of the flimsiest items that has ever been manufactured in the history of plastics. Even if you pay just one dollar for it, prepare to be royally disappointed. So much is wrong with it, I don't even know where to begin. Here's a starter list:1. Literally the flimsiest piece of plastics I've ever beheld. But what's worse, the edges are so coarsely cut that it can cause skin lacerations -- if you have little ones, don't let them handle this item unsupervised!2. Ribbon is way too short, it's as if they literally cut every possible corner in manufacturing this item.3. Safety pin clasping mechanism not reliable and may open, revealing sharp tip and causing injury.In my more than a decade of shopping on Amazon, I've seldom been more disappointed than by this singular item! Take that how you will. Buyer beware!

The "medal" part is not made out of metal. Like the other reviews said, it's molded plastic that's hollow on the back side, but it worked perfectly for what I used it for. It would make a great addition to your lion costume or to use as a decoration for a party.
