I am Scots and I have used this product all my adult life. It makes the best gravy ever and I use it in Scots recipes and any others that call for gravy. It comes in power and granules. I prefer the powder as do all the other people I have introduced to it. I ordered 7 of these and they came in 2 boxes. They were packaged so poorly one box had a hole in it's side and the other was so smooshed 1 box had been punctured and most of the powder had leaked from the box. The company it was bought from did replace it immediately. I was very angry because you have to pay shipping on each item (so 7 x shipping costs) even although they came from the same location and in only 2 boxes. There was only 1 strip of tape around the boxes closing them and they had come loose on top. I have not had packaging problems with other products I have ordered from the UK. Fantastic product - gggggggggggggggreat taste!!! I usually buy Bisto in a British shop here but they are having trouble getting it from their supplier so that's why I was willing to pay such a high price for it. I'll never do it again.

Love it
Makes really good gravy. It’s number one in the UK. So glad I can get it from Amazon.

Great product. Highly recommend.
Only problem was with Amazon packaging which caused crushing on top left box of product when it was placed in a bag instead of a box for shipping and then squeezed into my mailbox.

Been using years! Could not be without it!
What can I say? I never need to run out of this stuff again! I don't really use it to make gravy with although I could. I mainly use it to add to dishes I'm making for that extra beefy flavour and adds a deepness to the taste. Works well in adding to Cornish Pasties and I use it as an addition to my steak and mushroom pies. I precook the steak and mushrooms and then add the Bisto. Then it all goes in my baking dish and the pastry goes on top and goes in the oven from there to cook the pastry. The bisto cooks into the steak and mushroom and helps thicken the gravy in the pie.Keep in mind, there is quite a bit of sodium in Bisto so what I do is cut adding any additional salt to whatever I'm using Bisto in. Evens out the numbers.

British Retro Cuisine
Grew up with this gravy mix. The go to for an Auntie who cooked Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and a dozen other family beef or lamb faves for 8 to 10 of us every Sunday. Does what it says and tastes pretty good, especially if you add some pan juices/drippings, Comfort tood.

Quick and easy gravy maker and casserole thickner
T his old British standby is wonderful for thickening dark soups and casseroles. I put a dessert spoon full into a small jug of water and mix this in with a casserole, or soup to thicken up and color the food. There is not a lot of flavor in this gravy maker, as it is primarily a thickener and colorant, but that is a good thing, as you avoid adding too much salt to meals. I use Bisto a lot in cooking, adding it to curries, cajun soups, meat casseroles and many other things. Can't do without it.

Bisto Powder
I grow up with this as mum use to make gravy with the Sunday roast so I love it and I use it all the time I love it in my stews roast dinner etcAll I say don’t mix it with hot water or it will just clump up I do it with cold them pour it in the hot and just make sure it doesn’t get to thick just add more cold water but I love it but it is expensive out here in the US
