Prem-i-air 18" (45 cm) High Velocity Air Circulator with Chrome finish

Bought mine 15 Nov 2013 and mines still working. Multiple other fans of various types have come and gone but this is still working perfectly. Bought it for my dogs and they love it. It's great for sticking it on after coming back from a walk. Great especially for wooden flooring for the way it keeps the floor super cool for them.

I bought this fan in 2015, fed up with the poor performance of pedastal fans. I paid £40 for it, so it was quite a bit cheaper than it is now.Obvious downside compared to a pedastal fan are that it doesn't oscillate. On the other hand, the slowest setting is more powerful than the highest on any pedastal fan I've ever used. Quite simply, I don't think this fan needs to oscillate because it shifts so much air around the room regardless. The highest speed is incredibly powerful.The fan itself still pivots on the stand, so you can point it wherever you like. It is loud, even on the lowest setting so if you're after a quiet fan then you definitely don't want to purchase this. Personally I quite like the sound when I'm trying to get to sleep.There are a few clips that hold the front grill on, which can be pushed open with your thumb but may be easier with a flat head screwdriver. It's easy to remove it and clean any dust off the grills and blades.I've also used this fan to keep me cool when doing indoor cycling workouts, which it does a great job of.Overall I'd rate it 5 stars, you just have to accept the fact that to get this much power out of a fan, it's going to make some noise.

I read all the reviews carefully and whilst I had a nagging doubt after I'd ordered that it would turn out to be too noisy or powerful this fan is fantastic. I love the classic, simple, fuss free style and that it comes ready to use straight out of the box.The reviews I've read seem to point out the noise as being the only negative factor. When I switched it on I wondered what all the fuss was about. It's not silent but I don't find the sound to be overly intrusive. However it is worth noting that when I then turned it on at night I was aware of the noise. So my guess is that for those people who live in cities and are used to the ambient noise that brings, you'll find that this fan isn't offensively loud and I would imagine that you'll quickly get used to it. If you're used to complete quiet or want a silent fan then you'll be disappointed but that being said I think you'll get used to it. Unless you're using it in a tiny room.In terms of cooling a room down I'm absolutely a convert to the this air circulator concept as opposed to an oscillating fan. The room stays cool and if you're not standing directly in front and have it pointing at the ceiling, everyone benefits from the gentle breeze it creates as it circulates the air. Very happy and love the design. Be aware that it's quite large. I think it's the blades which measure the 18 inches or 45 centimetres. So you can see from the image that the grill cover extends a bit further.

Our flat gets incredibly hot and stuffy in summer (hotter than it is outside). So I was a bit concerned that because this fan doesn't swing from side to side and is designed to sit on the floor it wouldn't cool the room well enough. My worries were misplaced. Even though it sits on the floor pointing in one direction I can feel the difference anywhere in the room. It can pivot back quite far, so you could aim it straight at the ceiling if you wanted to. At night I point it upwards and the whole room feels much more breezy and pleasant, even though the fan isn't pointing directly at me.There are three speed settings, but so far I've only been using the lowest setting. This produces a nice strong flow of air. While it makes some obvious noise, to me it's an even and unobtrusive sound. It quickly fades into the background and I've had no trouble sleeping with it on or sitting at my computer with the fan on next to me. The two faster settings are obviously noisier, but I doubt you'll ever really need to activate them unless it were a very hot day and you had a large room. Since I haven't had to use them I can't really say whether the noise they produce is overbearing.Last point is that as far as fans go this one looks rather stylish to me. I'm not a big fan of sci-fi looking tower fans, and wanted something a bit nicer than a generic white plastic pedestal fan. This one suits the bill and works very well.

I read a lot of reviews for this product and was in two minds about it. I was thinking to to myself the reviews sound good BUT can they really be that much different than a fan that i have right now. Standard fans almost seem to chuck hot air at you with very little airflow. This baby actually throws a lot of airflow out and you can feel the room slowly cooling right down. Even in this heatwave you feel nice and cool and have a fresh breeze hitting you even on the lowest setting. On a high setting it literally is like a little gale in your room, if you stand in front of it you look like you are in a wind tunnel and you see your light shades swinging on the ceiling so some might find the top setting overkill. For the summer this is a MUST if you are feeling miserable in the heat it makes so much difference and for the price you cannot go far wrong.***just a note on the noise levels of the fans i have seen different posts saying different things, my view of this is that it is not much noisier than a standard oscillating fan on at say a medium level the noise isn't as intrusive as i thought it would be from other reviews and even if it was the cooling would far outweigh the little droning noise you get from it******

Reasonably sturdy piece of kit and kept it running non-stop pretty much the entire summer and it's still going.Some might complain about the noise level but then again it's intended to be used in gyms and stuff, not the bedroom. But I managed to sleep just fine. It's definitely quieter than the roadmen and crakheads of London.

Après un été à avoir utilisé ce ventilateur, je ne regrette pas mon achat.Les 3 vitesses sont bien utiles.En position 2 et 3, le ventilo fait un peu de bruit, mais cela n'est gênant que si vous dormez dans la même pièce que lui !Qualité de fabrication très honorable.

Ich hatte diesen Ventilator als Geschenk an eine andere Adresse schicken lassen, das klappte soweit. Ich war jedoch sehr irritiert, als ich einige Zeit später erfuhr, dass dieses (natürlich) elektrisch betriebene Gerät zwar für den deutschen Markt angeboten und geliefert wird, jedoch mit einem ENGLISCHEN (!!) Stecker mit 3 "Nippel", die in keinem Fall in eine deutsche Steckdose passen.Der Händler wurde angeschrieben, und man antwortete mir, dass ein Adapter nachgeliefert wird. Juchu. Eine erneute Rückfrage bei dem Beschenkten ergab, dass der Adapter inzwischen angekommen ist. Aber: Es ist ein Stecker für ein deutsches Gerät und eine englische Steckdose, also wieder mit 3 "Nippel".Was sich der englische Händler dabei "gedacht" (`?) haben mag, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.Es ist mir schleierhaft, wieso elektrische Geräte, die für den englischen Markt produziert werden, beim deutschen Amazon angeboten werden, obwohl die Kompatibilität nicht vorhanden ist. Ein Hinweis dazu im Angebot fehlt. Um das Verfahren abzukürzen und das Gerät endlich nutzen zu können, musste dann auf eigene Kosten für 6,- € noch ein Adapter gekauft werden.Der Ventilator tut nun endlich das, was er tun soll, nämlich Luft umherzuwirbeln ;-)

Bin davon ausgegangen das man wenn man unter Amazon.de ein Produkt kauft, das es auch kompartibel mit den hier in Deutschland vorhandenen Steckdosen ist. Da es sich bei dem Produkt um einen 3er Stecker handelt, der in USA üblich ist. Musste ich das Produkt zurück schicken. Was für eine Zeitverschwendung bei dieser Hitze. Jetzt darf ich wieder ein neues Produkt bestellen und darf wieder warten. Bin ziemlich sauer und das verschwitzt.

Très bon ventilateur, à la première vitesse il fonctionne très bien ,refroidit la grande salle , et je ne parle pas de la troisième vitesse c'est comme une tornade .
