Zipstitch Wound Closure Device - As an RN, I have wanted these for YEARS.
Short of getting out my hiking knife and opening a wound, I don't have a practical way to test these immediately and I don't really want to use them - but I've wanted to have them on hand for YEARS now. Every since myself and a few other nurse-nerds read about them, we wanted some. I mean, how COOL are these? They're little tiny zip ties for boo-boos. As a nurse I feel obligated on the atomic level to point out that you NEED to clean any wound extremely THOROUGHLY before using one of these devices to avoid complicated infections in the wound later but DANG - these are cool. I'm grateful to have them and would recommend them to EVERYONE.

First Aid Must Have
These are quite easy to use and essential for every first aid bag. You never know when you’ll need one and they truly do come in handy. They’re beginner friendly and work as expected.

Vital When Needed
We do a lot of canyoneering, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. We take care and are conservative, but sometimes, misfortune can strike. I got this emergency laceration kit with the hopes of never using it. It can efficiently clean, close, and dress one wound. I would say that it is a one-and-done kit. This is not something for minor abrasions, this is something to break out in serious situations. Everything is kept in individual, sealed bags.A downside is that there are only four small alcohol wipes. This kit is prepared for trauma and the little wipes are insufficient for cleaning a major laceration. Also, it comes in a cardboard box and it needs to be transferred into something more protective if taking this into the backcountry. In the end, I like this kit. It needs a few more wipes but would be an absolute lifesaver in a bad situation. This will be added to our outdoor first aid kit in the hopes that it is never needed.

Great to have
I bought these to have as our cabin first aid kit as it's over 1 hour drive to the nearest hospital. The closures are individually wrapped. I love the "zipstitch" ones as they look like they will help close a deep wound, it's sort of like a multi-butterfly bandage with a shoelace you draw close. I put these in our kit with some antiseptic ointment and gauze and we should be good to go!

Look great
This set of laceration patches looks like they will work great when needing them. I got them for my emergency bag and am hoping I needed have to use them however feel more prepared having them. They should work to help hold the wounds closed and serve the purpose.

Great add to the emergency bag
Great set of closures to add to our emergency medical kit! The closures essentially work like tiptoes attached to bandaids. For the price point, it's pretty decent, though I do wish there were perhaps one more set of each included. What's included:- 2 closures with 3 thinner "zips"- 2 closures with 2 sturdier "zips"- 4 large waterproof patches (useful to keep the closures from catching on things too!)- 4 medium waterproof patches with built in gauze pads
