Moyoama rotator cuff pillow with pocket, shoulder strap and strap for upper arm & hand
An old rotator cuff tear was acting up and I needed help for sleep and work. I chose the black pillow that has 3 places to secure your arm: the shoulder strap, the Velcro strap that hangs loose for upper arm and the attached loop to put your hand through. As there aren't any instructions, I looked on Amazon for photos for the proper way to use it, which I immediately did. There was just the right amount of firmness for wearing like a sling and a great relief while working at the computer and I used all 3 straps. When it came to sleeping, the first night or 2 I used all 3 straps and repositioned myself for comfort. Then for a couple of nights I only used the hand & upper arm strap. Then as my shoulder felt better, I turned the pillow upside down and around, did not use any strap and positioned it for comfort as I'm a side sleeper, which is not good for that shoulder and my PT said it was better to sleep on my back with a pillow under my arm, but that didn't always work for me.So I've found several ways to use this pillow and I wish I had seen it in when I was first injured, as it would have saved many nights where I only had one hour of sleep.Besides following the photos for correct placement, I find that being creative in how it is positioned increased my comfort level and I also liked the firmness for sleeping. I don't use it every night right now, but it is there when I need it and I'm very pleased with this purchase.

If you have shoulder issues, you want this pillow!
Advertising doesn’t show the many uses of this pillow. I am unable to use this pillow as shown with my shoulder brace on however, this pillow has been my go to immediately after surgery. I have to sleep in a recliner with this style of shoulder brace and the pillow fits perfectly in the space between brace and chair arm making resting so much more comfortable. The pillow is light weight and the strap makes it easy to carry from place to place. The shoulder brace I am wearing does not allow me to sit in a regular chair or bench comfortably, so I bring the pillow with me to appointments and place on my lap to properly support my shoulder. I used it pre surgery to make sleeping on my side more comfortable, so I know it will work well for that purpose when I am allowed to remove the brace. I would definitely recommend this product for people facing the misery of a shoulder surgery.

Almost perfect for post surgery
Love it but it could be better:Pros:It is super soft and comfypockets are awesome for phone/ear buds etc... even meds or snacks!works as good as the expensive one they give(sell) you after surgeryCons:Needs a thumb loop in addition to the shoulder strap loopThe upper corner of pillow is a little to long/high and can be bothersome while sleeping.Should sell in packs of 2 so one is always clean

Might Work, Depending on Injury and Quality Control Before Shipping
This MOYOAMA rotator cuff pillow seemed like a viable solution to my rotator cuff and bicep tendon pain while I await surgery to repair three major tears. However, this pillow was not comfortable for me when I tried using it laying down, when I have the most pain. In addition, the shoulder strap I received had the snaps attached on the wrong side, making it impossible to velcro the strap in place with room for my average sized arm. The long black fuzzy velcro strip should face out during use, but mine faced in, towards my side, making it nearly impossible to close the velcro fastener or use the pillow when sitting up. As a result, I returned this pillow but I still think it could be a help for some depending on their injury and assuming they receive a properly made strap. I appreciated that the seller reached out to me wanting to make things right, but I opted not to reorder this pillow since the shape wasn't comfortable for me based on the extent of my injury including my bicep tendon. However, this pillow was very soft and squishy, so it might be worth trying if you are suffering from rotator cuff pain only - each injury is different.Note: I am using a soft body pillow and it has helped reduce my shoulder pain during the night. I am also using a microwavable “bean bag” to apply heat while I await surgery.

Great for elbows too!!!
I highly recommend this for anyone having elbow surgery. This was so much more comfortable than a sling and having my arm in a supported more extended position really helped me maintain range of motion post-op. My doctors were shocked at how much range of motion I had at 1 week.

A Stained Cheaply Manufactured Rag Falsely Advertised As "New"
I'm a physical therapist who had surgery to repair a right rotator cuff tear. At postop week 4 when my surgeon told me I no longer had to wear the shoulder immobilizer, I purchased this to support my right arm so I could sleep more comfortably lying on my left side in bed. I purchased this product "new" and it was delivered stuffed into a clear plastic cylinder shaped bag. Although there was a zipper closure at the top of the bag, the cylinder shaped outer packaging wasn't sealed. In other words, there was no way to tell if this shoulder pillow that was sloppily stuffed in the clear plastic bag was resold to me after someone returned it, and the possibility that it was sent to me after it was used in someone's bed was alarming. That concern was validated when I took it out of the cylinder and noticed beige colored crumb size "stuff" encrusted onto one area of the pillow. The fact that it was resold to me after someone returned it was evident. Moreover, this is nothing more than a poorly manufactured rag. The stitching is uneven and the hand loop is hanging on by a couple of threads. The cheap tiny zipper will never last because the teeth on each side are misaligned, and as such the zipper won't budge unless you pull on it with a lot of force.
