Belts like these are built for function, not style. It's made from plain black nylon webbing that is strong but stiff and rough in texture. The latter may cause wear on the trousers it's used with.The clasp is metal and slightly taller than the belt itself, at 46mm and 7mm thick. It passed through the loops of a pair of Levi jeans, but only just. Something to bear in mind if you have narrower loops, but at least the larger side of the buckle can be removed to make it easier threading through.I'm a 36" waist and had to reduce it by about 30cm to get it to fit. I ended up cutting off the last 20cm to avoid having to tuck the excess back through. If you are going to cut it, do it over a bin as bits of fibre went everywhere. A lighter flame along the new edge will seal it.The quick release works well, although the left hand is required to push the button. Great news for lefties I guess.It does what you would expect in a no-frills sort of way but you do sense it's the buckle you're paying for.

These kinds of belts are fiddlier to hook up to your trousers, but once on, they are easy to release via the button.Sizewise, I am about 36" waist, and these fit fine with about a foot of slack, so will scale up to very large waists!These aren't the most attractive of belts, made more for practicality and sturdiness over style, but they do the job of keeping your trousers up!

This is one piece of kit and yet so incredibly light.I’ve had belts in the past for my work trousers that have been hard wearing and I’ve been advertisers army quick release so so forth but this is both comfortable easily adjustable and takes a serious knock.It is obviously painted metal which means that if he gets knocked, it’s gonna scratch but at the end of the day if you’re buying one of these, you’re buying it to be used not as a shelf piece.The release is quick relatively easy but not so easy that will pop itself without a moment to notice.I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the strap. It’s a hard wearing nylon. I’ve been really pleased with the function of the belt so far.The strap is incredibly long leaving it adjustable to pretty much any reasonable white size. I’ve kept quite a bit of nylon on the belt because I intend to use it to keep bags closed as well. I also want it handy in case I need anything in the terms of like a tourniquet at the moment notice.Doing a great job, DofE you never know what’s gonna be around the corner that I like to make sure that the equipment I use he’s gonna send them to the challenge and so far I’m very impressed.
