A great upgrade
Quite easy to install. You have to remove some trim and run a new cable to the head unit but it’s not too difficult.Once installed it works fine, my iPhone connects to it wirelessly once paired and i have had no problems at all.

Working fine, good value for Mazda 3
Went with the wired option and working fine. I looked at this as a two stage project. I initially updated the software about a week before so that I knew this was done and working, then bought the kit and installed. No real instructions but videos on YouTube. Bought a set of fascia removal tools for about £7 off Amazon though only used a couple. Mazda 3 fascia is pretty robust and comes off and clicks back in fine. Box is in the storage space between the seats on mine which makes access a easier. I took my time and probably a 90 min job for me. Big thing having google maps and well worth the money. Integrates really well the existing buttons for the info systems and touch screen still works. Amazing upgrade for the cost.

Works for iPhones not so much for my Samsung
This is in reference to 'Mazda TYPE-C Wireless Carplay Upgrade Kit, TK78-66-9U0C OEM Media Hub to MZD CONNECT, Compatible with Mazda 3/6/CX5/CX9/MX5 2014-2020 (Support Wireless Carplay, No Android Auto)'The install was a lot more straight forward than I'd expected. You'd do well looking on Youtube for an installation guide for it. I found that more useful than Mazda's own instructions. As for the hub, it works with my wife's iPhone just fine. It doesn't work with my Samsung Galaxy S24 however even when using the original USBC cable that came with the phone. The phone will charge but Android Auto doesn't notice it's connected to a car and the car doesn't notice the phone. I've tried different cables and tweaking USB settings on the phone but nothing has helped. I've read that AndroidAuto on Samsung phones is notoriously flaky so maybe it's not the hub's fault.3 stars because it only half works for me which may not be an entirely fair score.UPDATE: The hub works either wirelessly which is only for Apple CarPlay or wired which is for Carplay AND Android Auto. This I knew. What I didn't realise, and I don't think the description makes clear, is that you physically have to switch between modes. There's a switch behind the flap that covers the SD card slot. You live and learn.I've added a star because they were very quick to respond to my question.

Android auto/carplay
Great upgrade easy to fit. Just make sure you have a late version of the mazda firmware.

not a grafta
Despite me spending a couple of hours updating the bios bit by bit (because apparently you can't just upload the latest one...) , the sat nav no longer works! Not an issue I thought - due to the fact I wanted waze via android auto... but after a couple of weeks, it hardly connects to the phone and the screen is blank if and when it does connect. I read other people have faced similar issues and then bought factory original equipment... I'm still a little too tight to that as yet - so I shall moan like a little baby on amazon ;)

Does everything it says, bar...
Does everything it says here but it doesn't actually fast charge your phone and the installation diagram is flipped so it's quite confusing trying to work out which wire goes where. Better off finding a video on youtube. Other than those 2 points it's a pretty good purchase and I'm happy with it. Good value for money considering Mazda charges £300+ for itEdit - on occasion, the screen won't display anything. The music will play and if you have navigation on it'll still do the audio but it won't appear on screen.I've messaged the seller but other than them suggesting I "unplug and replug" the back cable, which would obviously involve taking apart the dash again, they were not all that helpful.
