Q: How much weight will one hold?

The manufacturer says safe weight capacity is 440 pounds. While I can’t attest to that claim, these are extremely robust clips. If you’re using them for a dog leash, I would have no hesitation using them for any size dog. I made a leash out of 3/8 inch rope and one of these clips and it is the heaviest duty clip I’ve seen on any leash. I’d seek them out if I need any more.

Yes. These are heavy duty and solid. They work great with a 3/8 inch rope for a rugged dog leash.
