Redoing old boat cushions as the old stitching fails. The first cushions that I redid have now been in use for 2 years and still look new. One item of caution: I used a black sharpie to mark the stitch line on the backing so it was easy for the seamstress when I dropped it off with her. No problems for the first few months of use, but after that, the sharpie bleed through to the vinyl surface. It's not the fault of the product, and because it's at the stitch line it doesn't look too bad, but for the other cushions, I will use a wax pencil to avoid this issue in the future. Also, if you get some light wrinkles, don't worry, the heat and sun will smooth them out. The attached picture was during last winter install, but the wrinkles are now gone. Cushion further in boat has been in use for 1yr. I didn't wash it so it looks darker, but isn't. The cushion closer to camera has just been installed.
