QUALITY air TIGHT
This is a cute little set. The lids are not microwave or oven safe. That being said, they have been helpful in the kitchen. The air tight lid keeps everything fresh, until it’s ready to be opened. I do feel the bottom portion should be slightly more durable for the tag number but, it has held up great thus far. I am happy with it. Great for meal prep and can be warmed up right in the container without worrying about looking for a plate or bowl. I RECOMMEND.

Too expensive
For almost $100, I had high expectations for the containers. A few things bothered me:1. The lid isn't dishwasher safe. I'm not sure why?2. The lid is very loose, even with the strap. I feel like they could've added more rubber/insulation to secure it.3. There was some small paints scratched or chipped off when I opened it. It should be perfect.Besides that, I like the versatility of the container being oven and microwave safe.

Really Well Designed - Overperform - Great for Meal Prep
I have been using the similarly sized glass dishes with red lids that I can get at my chain grocery store for several years as my primary food storage and prep containers. I am comparing these Caraway 6.6 cup food containers to those. We use plastic containers for most of our leftover ingredients (sauces, cut veggies, smaller portions of leftovers etc...). We used the glass containers for food prep.If you cook at home, these containers, or containers like these, are a must. You're already going through all the labor of creating a fantastic meal. Making an extra few portions to fill one of these containers to freeze (yes, they're good for the freezer!) isn't much more work. You can reheat/cook anything from frozen and you've already done the work. Your future self will thank you. When we make chicken enchiladas from scratch, for example, we'll also fill one of these and have a completely labor and cost free meal in the future. I suggest buying some chalk markers to write on the lid what's in it and the expiration date (go for 6 months for nearly everything). Most foods tend to look about the same after they're frozen with a few ice crystals. The value question is what makes Caraway worth $45 per container? First, Caraway doesn't use any plastics or toxic nonstick coatings. These are completely inert and will not interact with your food. These are a ton easier to clean than glass even if the instructions suggest you do it by hand. I still rinse my glass containers before putting them in the dishwasher because, even if TV commercials suggest otherwise, my really good dishwasher still struggles with washing a lasagna or cake off the plate. Rinsing my other glass containers takes longer than actually washing the Caraway. It can feel like a pain to hand wash things but it's still actually less work than prepping for the dishwasher. So far, everything we've cooked in it just slides out and rinses clean. I've used soap anyway but not because I needed to get stuff out.I love these in my small toaster oven. I will take a portion of leftovers for myself and put the food into one of these containers and heat it just for me. It takes a little longer than the microwave but I like it a lot better. These are perfect for casual use. If anything, they're overengineered which I always appreciate. Rather than just getting the job done, they get it done really well. Is this worth it to you? I can't answer that. All I can say is they do these jobs better than any other product I've seen.5 Stars – This item does everything it claims and is exceptional in some way OR is the best I've ever seen in it's category OR is exceptional value.4 Stars – This item does all it claims to do and does it adequately.3 Stars – This item is below average in some way. There are other products that do the same thing but better or the item is inappropriately overpriced in its category.2 Stars – Subpar – It technically does what it says but does it poorly.1 Star – Unsafe or fails dramatically.

Easy to use
These are awesome. They’re very easy to clean. They’re very easy to use. They seal up perfectly for food storage. I actually take them with me when I go over friends house when we’re having a potluck.
