I know that shopping for personal blenders is a NIGHTMARE AND A HALF, because they either don’t chop, don’t hold a charge, burn your house down, etc. If you’re going to take the risk to get one anyway, just go with this one. When it works, it pulverizes everything you put in it. When it doesn’t work, Ninja stands by their products and takes care of the issue. I’m updating my review to 3 stars, but if my replacement blender works, it’ll be 5 stars. Oh, and by the way, the customer service dude was really pleasant and spoke English. I use it about every other day, and I have only had to charge it four times now. It works wonderfully, but the only thing it sometimes struggles with is whole frozen strawberries. Don’t get me wrong, it can pulverize them. It just may take more than one blend cycle, which is fine when you have a blender that actually works, unlike the one I got from desertcart. I have been using my old nutribullet for the last 10+ years which works well but this is actually perfect for what I need. The container is the perfect size, 16oz. i am using it more for a smoothies, i am going to try to do shakes sometime soon. Pros of this product: Lightweight and portable. Cleans real easy. Nice sturdy base and container give it a great quality feel. Also the instructions and description of how to use the blender and what to look for as far as the indicator lights was very well laid out. The lid as well with the handle is also a big bonus not to mention the flip cap. Cons: the only minor thing for me is that when I make my smoothies using frozen strawberries and other frozen berries is that you will have to hit it for two 30 sec cycles to ensure the berries get completely blended and not form clumps. For me this is no huge issue just something I have discovered and if I have spend 1 min to blend my smoothies instead of 30 seconds, no big deal. I would also recommend buying the accessories cap for the bottom and cover for the blades that are offered through third party. If you do not want to haul around the whole blender with the blades these things work great!
