Worth The Money
I installed this system in conjunction with a big box store water softener to treat our rusty well water in northern Illinois. Installation was straight forward and went without incident. Prior to installation, our water would look clear coming out of the tap, but the toilets, showers, washing machine, dishwasher, and any other fixtures or appliances would get substantial orange rust stains on them within a few days of cleaning. The water definitely tasted like well water, but it was drinkable in a pinch. After installing the filters, the taste of our well water is comparable to that of bottled water. The rust buildup in the appliances and fixtures was reduced by probably 80% or so, but not completely removed. I just changed my first set of filters after six months, as I was uncertain what my service life would be given our level of rust. We also noticed a minor drop in water pressure in the last couple weeks, suspected filter contamination. The sediment filter was very discolored, probably in the middle of the color chart found on ispring’s site, definitely in the ready to change range. The other filters appeared to be in good condition, no notable discoloration. After the filter change, water pressure returned to normal. Going forward, I plan to change the sediment filter only every four months, the other two filters annually. I will reevaluate that as time goes on, but I think that will be sufficient based on my observations from this first cycle. I think this is a great product that definitely changed or water quality and drinkability. I highly recommend.

Great filters
I live in rural Tennessee and I have an artesian well. The elements are very strong here. These filters help clear the sediment, help the water taste better, and eliminates the odor. It does not reduce the water flow at all. They do have to be replaced about every 6 months, but that's pretty normal. Initially when first installed it leaks a little, but it seems to stop on it's own very quickly. You will see a grayish color (that's the charcoal working, not harmful) in the beginning as stated, but it goes away quickly. I had the water tested by an independent company and they were shocked at the results. It softened the water and lowered all of the major elements in the water. They said we bought an excellent system. I don't even have the red stains from the iron. It's amazing!!!

Work awesome with the spin down sediment filter
These are great for my Ispring filtration system. I change every 9 mos but could go a year because I have the pre spin down sediment filter. Great system and much less expensive than a filtration system from my well company.

Great product and customer service
I purchased the whole house filter early last fall, and it has done a fantastic job with all the sediment and iron in the system. When I purchased this house, all the bathroom fixtures were orange from the rest and now they are spark going clean. Just ordered my first new set of filters and while one arrived with a small crack in the top. I called I Spring customer service department and spoke with Michele who was extremely helpful in getting me the replacement out immediately.

Good purchase.
Does a good job. Filters for about 6mos before needing changed. Very reasonably priced compared to others that filter for iron.

iSpring Filter Purchase Based on Water Test
Really appreciate the help from Sean at iSpring. I first installed the default 3 cartridge filter system, with the spin-down sediment filter and the UV light when moving into our new house. We are on a well. A few months after moving in, I purchased a water test kit from Tap Score and used the water coming directly from the well (before any iSpring filters) for the test.I sent the results to Sean and he directed me via an Amazon link to the correct iSpring 3 filter cartridge system I needed for my particular well water test results - much different from the one I previously purchased when I did not know any better. The filter cartridge system I needed was about $50 less than the original one I have and sent that filter system to Sean. I really appreciate Sean giving me solid advice on the correct cartridge filters based on my water test results without upselling me to a more expensive system.I strongly suggest if you are thinking of adding an iSpring filter system to an existing house or a new build (city water or well) you spend the money to get a water test. Send the results to Sean to determine the configuration that works best.

Every 5-6months
If you don’t need these filters in your house you are blessed. These things clean n filter out almost 99%Of particles n blah in our town water. Still don’t drink it but ease of mind its a ton cleaner. Added a salt softener and tada clean n smooth water.

Worth the money if you need a filtration system
These filters work great for my house as my water provided by our county is not very good. It's very hard and when you run it through filters it will show just how brown the water is. Using this filter system makes my water as if its being delivered from a natural spring. I know this as I've tested the water before and after and the results are amazing. As far as how long the filters last probably depends on what water you have coming in. When I first installed this system, I changed it after one year and the filters were brown, especially the sediment filter which it the first stage. The brown color lightened as I went to stage 2 & 3 but I figured I would change them sooner than waiting one year. This time I did it at about 10 1/2 months which I noticed a slight difference but one of the ways you can tell is the home water pressure will be reduced and that would be a sign to change them. Next time I'll probably change them at about 8 months and see if there's any difference. At about 6 months is when I begin to notice a reduced pressure in the house, but we'll see. As far as cost is concerned, I think the cost is reasonable for what the system provides so to me it's well worth the expense, I just try and buy the filters when I see them on sale no matter when I plan to change them as that keeps the maintenance costs down. I would certainly recommend this system to anyone looking for clean good tasting water. I have the system installed in my garage and the appearance looks great and installation was easy enogh for me to do myself.
